    hi Padma,
I'm going to india too. I bought a lot of sugar free candy. Also in Hobby Lobby, u get a lot of gift items for 2 - 3 dollars. There is a sale going on. In dollar shops, u get small plaster of paris figures. Some of them r real cute. in walmart, u get watches for 7.99. Also, check out if there is a gems show in ur city.
    Regards,
    Sharada

    Hi Padma,

    Hi Padma,

You can get Oat meal for elderly people, dry fruits. <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:City><st1:place>Crystal</st1:place></st1:City> items to keep in the show case. For children, can get coloring blocks/kit etc.,

In <st1:country-region><st1:place>India</st1:place></st1:country-region> now a days all are having MW. So if you get Pop Corn covers, (if you get full box) you can give to your friends and relatives. They really enjoy them.

As Sharada said you can get sugar free candy.

Hair clips and nails polish for girls.

Use and throw away type, sterilized feeding bottles for new babies.

Wall hangings, Stickers, nice lamp shades, small mixture grinder, knife set, cutlery set, <st1:City><st1:place>Pearl</st1:place></st1:City> or coral (small size). The list will goooooooo on. You want still more tell me let me write more.

    dear padma,
the corn ware is a great hit here, many homes are filled withMW and any no of dishes are always a great help, among others some nice sweaters, and wools if u have knitting friends though dont get the thick variety, as indian climate especially if in south dont demand heavy sweaters, but something like baby wool that is a great to knit.. my aunt introduced us to peelers and so many other usefull cutters for kitchens.....hope u enjoy ur stay here, while returning dont forget to carry some beautiful lamps from india, they are very very cheap in trivandrum near the temple and wood carvings of tiny ganesha and elephants as key chains, the brass nandhi is very cute in its carving so nice for a drawing room corner and fabric aroma enhancer available in bangalore, all u need is to put them in ur wardrobe and the smell is just mmm each time u open to take out ur clothes...they also have sachets here......regards sunkan

    Hi padma,

    Dear Padma,

You can get pearls and corals for your mother. For your sisters, if they are younger than you, get them some make up sets (If they will use). Or if they are elder than you, you can get big corals which is very big and we can wear it in our ‘Thali charadu’ ( I got one like that from my tenent’s mother who came from Canada, and that time she gave all of us one ,one to put in ‘Thali kodi’) You can also get them for you sisters.

Generally I will buy some salwar suit sets for my sister and her daughter. Here unstitched salwar sets are cheap and the stitching cost is more. But we will get good designs here first than <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:country-region><st1:place>India</st1:place></st1:country-region>.

I got one B.P. checking watch for my father and one sugar testing machine. But I am not telling you to get your father. He may be a healthy person. Please don’t mistake me. You can get them to somebody who needs them.:)

You can get sealing machine. Which we use to pack items.

That is all for now. If I got more things let me send another mail to you. Bye.
