    Photography : Nature Photos

I am very amateurish photographer. but do love nature. most of the photos i do take are nature based.

In this thread, i would like to share the snaps of oman through my eyes as was requested by very close friends of mine.

Though oman is not so popular as dubai, it has too many beautiful places of interests, forts, caves, beaches.....

    1. it is a naturally formed hole and looks so nice to see through it...i t is on the way to wadi darbat..waterfalls ..salalah.oman....

2&3&4 It is a lake fed by the waters from the wadi..the waterfall dry up..but this scene was so idyllic...we wanted to stay there. on one side lots of cows, goats and also camels. and also the surrounding scenic mountains, still green though it was peak summer during my visit.

5.it is the dance of the cloud shadows when we took a snap from the curve down the mountains.

(just wanted to add..will be posting more in the same thread in between the feedbacks...do enjoy them also...)

    1. is the marina bandar... all the private yachts are parked here. lot of activities like fishing, diving, dolphin watching are done from here..and you can watch lot of activities in the water standing on the edge...

2& 3the roads to the beach on qantab...it is so steep. whenever i cross this i think of all those hands that laid these roads..come 50 degree or 16 degrees:bowdown.

    4. The natural arch that is formed because of erosion. there is one more almost 60% done to the left (slightly visible)

    5. that is the private stretch belonging to barr-al-jissah hotels (shangrila).

    1. this picture caught me and touched me..very true..and should be followed..but do we...?

2,3,4,5.Mughsayl stretching for 4 kilometers is a magnificent sandy beach outlined by sculptured cliffs and blow holes formed in the limestone rocks, where plumes of water can reach a height of 30 meters or more. At high tide the sea bursts dramatically through the rock slabs jutting out from the cliffs revealing many blow holes, the largest of which are covered with metal grids. The view along the coast where the mountains meet the sea is spectacular.

In the near by khor there are lot of flamingoes, pelican and storks. giant blowholes (perforations in the limestone rock) which spurt water up to 100 ft high with sea water gushing into the cave system behind them during high tide. I could capture it along. but the video is more spectacular as the hissing noise that comes along and also the rainbows that you can see with the rays hitting the plumes...

I hope the pictures are self explanatory....
