I would try changing his lunch from 2 PM to 11.30 or 12 PM...
Also little bit of spices when you cook food (like garlic, peppers, cumin) so he gets the taste of it.

Yes, early lunch at least by an hour and the nap time has to shift a bit in my opinion. Its best to get them to sleep for 12 hours at least at this age during nights. i.e 8 PM to 8 AM

    Hiiii!!!
    Thanks for the replies.

Ohhhh yeah!! What I do is, I add a little curry that is cooked for us so that he gets used to the salt n chilli n garlic stuff.
Generally if wakes up late becoz of late night sleep sometimes he waits for his dad, next day would be late morning, he has lunch at 1pm and sleeps by 2pm.
Two naps a day will put him to sleep late in the night. Anu suggestions for the sleep thingie.

    Thanks,
    Leela.

Rleela, all looks good. May be you can drop the evening nap and let him baby sleep early. Milk quantity is also fine.

wow, reading everyone else's meal plan makes me think i am feeding my 13th month old really really less food. Her meal plan is:

8:30am 1 slice bread with one egg
11:30am 1 bowl oatmeal with fruit, powdered nuts cooked in milk
2pm 1/2 or 1 roti with lentil sabji, 1-2 tbsp rice and 1/4 banana
5pm 1/4 bowl veggies or 1 small uttapam, 1/4 banana
7:30pm 1-2 small paratha, little rice, 1/2 banana
    9pm breastfed , sleep:) till 7-8am

she doesn't like milk, so I have for now stopped trying to get her to drink it. She only drinks water, no juice either.

@cooks2010 your meal plan looks good to me. She gets really balanced good portion of solids. What concerns me is milk. At her age should she be drinking upto 14oz. Even if not 14 anywhere between 10-14 correct? When kids transition to whole milk its a hard struggle but please don't give up. They need the nutrition from milk.

@chitravivek: yes, you are right, I should start again with the milk. She is actually anemic, so have been giving her iron drops. The doctor said to hold off on milk when I give the drops as calcium interferes with iron absorption. Thats another reason I havent been too persistent with the milk.

Someone recommended me to try raw milk, they are going to give me a small jar this week. I still need to read up about raw milk, lets see if she likes that.

Milk is not so important. It is enough to give curds, yoghurt, paneer/cheese. Not all toddlers like milk and they are totally fine.

Why raw milk ? I thought the regular pasteurized ones are safer :hide:

Yes you are right, the regular milk is safer, I think. I just want to try it, to see if it tastes different and if she likes it. My friend said its easier to digest, not sure about that and there are other health benefits...still need to read up on that. I havent tried it yet.
