    Happy to hear tell your hubby to get habituated to cooking

    food is very sensitive particularly for NRI If we habituated our food with restaurant we have to face the consequences in a short span or when we back to home country.

    more over cooking is really stress release healthy game I will spend 1 to 2 hour daily for dinner and next day lunch.

    From where he is getting varagu, samai rice ??

    OHO GOD 28 per bunch

    Still i remember during my school days when we come back to home if I saw this on the road side we will plug and keep in our home garden this will spread a lot those days there will not be any compound wall so this will spread on sides of the fessing. this is my favorite dish from childhood.

    But today we have pay and also we have to assure the quality of the product.

    It is always advisable to form a garden this will gives you good quality vegetable, fresh air, good time pass, apart from all we have to do some physical work this will good for our health.

    @sumanrathi sometimes we need to be practical and not get carried away emotionally. and life balances itself.

    @chillbreeze we do get a big bunch at 28. we also get 15rs bunch with local vendors, that i don't prefer. i will post the quantity next time.

    @geemathy welcome and thank you.

    @deepthiraj i am grinning happily seeing your dance. i thought you are are older.
    lovely texture of your sauces. even the urundai kulambu looks yum and i am sure you all would have enjoyed it with dosa. great going. once you love the art of cooking, and enjoy you will start creating loads of varieties there is no stopping. the day you feel cooking is burden, or work that you don't want to do, the charm, the taste of cooked food changes. even the simple dal and rice tastes heavenly when cooked with love.

    @shanvy mam, thank you the muffins recipe. My DD hates sathumaavu kanji. Sneaking it as muffins is a great idea! :)

    Yesterday's breakfast was thinai upma. Came out well without being sticky (udhiri udhiriya vandhudhu).
    Today's breakfast was kudiraivali idli and pumpkin araichuvitta sambhar. Learnt that the trick to sneak in healthy idlis/dosas is to have a nice sambhar to dunk in ;-) Chutneys or idli podi don't help much!

    SR, when I feel miserable about something I try to keep reminding myself God gives me what I need and not what I want. Thinking like that doesn't make me happy about whatever was upsetting me but it makes me grudgingly get on with my day today life and let Him manage the bigger task of planning & running my entire life.

    @Deepthiraj I am so proud of you like an elder sister. I remember seeing you in this thread just few weeks back and you have grown leaps and bounds and I am so amazed to see the pics and dishes you post. Keep rocking dear.

    Shans, I am not sure about the bunch size or the quality. This is the first time I have seen mudakathan as a lady comes every week with these greens. I don't see that in shops. Will it be available in supermarkets too? No idea about the quality:confused2:
