Reality of teachers in today's world

True VR - teaching profession has almost lost its charm and respect as the doctor profession lost. Teachers alone are not to be blamed, the parents, kids all are responsible for this. When education turned a business, this is inevitable.

In my opinion, it has always been like that but for a few individuals who remember their teachers well and respect them after they reach higher levels in their careers. Earlier, at least, people had respect for the teachers' time and now everyone thinks their time is more precious than the teachers' time.

Discipline (unwritten law) was part of the curriculum in the earlier generation but now the teachers have no way of disciplining the children who makes mistakes. Children watch the actions of adults and unless the parents, guardians and teachers demonstrate high level of moral, it would be difficult to discipline the children.

It looks that you are quiet stressed out with your situation.

Just relax, and look at the positive side.

I am sure you will find something to make you appreciate your chosen field.

Don't worry dear. Take it easy. All days are not the same.

For the time being perhaps you could go out for a movie with your family, or maybe go shopping. Retail therapy is the best therapy. Just leave all your stress aside and take out some time to enjoy.

Dear viraghu,
present days teachers' job is stress-filled as well as challenging. There are too many students in a class from different kind of social back ground. In private schools more expectation from teachers in order to keep up the reputation of the school.

There was a time when people used to say as teaching was the most easiest job.

People used to say, " mattai meychanam kolai pottanaam," enru. Meaning after making the cows graze threw the stick.
But now teachers have most responsibility. There are dedicated teachers who sacrifice their time energy to get good result.
