Unfortunately Chico is not with me anymore!

I used to feed him Chicken rice or curd rice with egg in the morning and evening it was RC with egg. Try mixing half boiled eggs with her food, most of them love it and its very good for their health too.

Sometimes I used to fool my boy if he did not eat his food by saying it is egg (but not actually mixing with egg). lol He knew the word egg and would run to me and finish it off. But it did not work after a couple of times, he knew I was only fooling him. He used to come to me, sniff his food and give me a look like 'Really Mom???' lol He was a very smart boy! :)

hahaha same goes with her. Initially she ate potato carrot beans when mixed with chicken and egg. but within in 1 week she stopped eating that.

She is very very picky mam. She wont eat egg white, only yellow. That too boiled egg yellow only, no omelette or fried egg.

Even i mix chicken with the rice, she wont eat it, not even look at the chicken. stubborn kid.

If there is no problem, May I know why chico is not with you?

My husband and I are moving to US in a couple of months. Could not take him along due to some reasons, so had to find him a loving home. Was a very tough decision for us,but happy that he is finally settling down at his new home. :)

    Hi Aishwarya

You there. I just need your guidance. Yesterday we came to know that our dog Jack has only one testicle. Another one testicle present inside his stomach.

Is this same case as like your chico??

DR advised us to remove the testicle from stomach. Is that safe??

    Thanks for your help

Is this your fiance's dog? Yes, its the same condition as that of Chico. As rightly advised by your vet, please remove both the testicles. Since one is retained in the stomach, it would not be the usual neuter surgery, but it will be similar to the spey surgery done for females. Do not worry, should not be a problem, but if you are not sure about ur vet, I can suggest some in Chennai or Bangalore. Let me know if you want any recommended doctors.

PS: This condition is called Cryptorchidism and if left not treated, MAY cause testiclular cancer in the long run, so better to remove BOTH the testicles. Google on this topic and you will know more info on this. Best wishes and hugs to Jack for a speedy recovery! :)

Wanted to add, please never ever breed him. To ensure the problematic gene does not get carried further, remove both the testicles.

Yes he is my fiancee dog. He is having some skin problem, so yesterday we went for a checkup. Thats how we came to know about this descended testicle problem.

Yeah after posting in this forum,I have searched in google and started reading the post related to Cryptorchidism.

Thanks for you help. Regarding Vet, we are consulting with chief DR in bluecross. and As she referred we are consulting now with The Ark hospital. Please also let me know your Vet detail. We want to give best to our pet. And am from chennai.

PS- we are ready to do the surgery asap. But the DR told we can do it later too. we have the time till he attain 4 years. after 4 years only problem will raise. Is that so?

I was about to suggest the Ark clinic if you were in Chennai.

Regarding when to do the surgery, I am not very sure. Its a very debatable topic and different people have different views. A canine behaviorist once told me the right age for neuter surgery for breeds like GSDs is 6 months so that it helps them to calm down (due to lack of testosterone). Pls consult Dr. Aravind from Ark, he will be able to suggest you better. Do update us what happened.
