The base can be anything like greeting card, old invitation card or any card through which holes can be made using syringe or needle.

Good!! Pricking needles' thickness should be greater than the threading needle.
Threading needle should be thinnest may be size 10 or 11 would be good.

For making hole [ pricking ] use a disposable syringe 5 ml size.
I am at present using that only.

There is no do's and donts.
Before start working wash your hand with soap and dry well. Otherwise finger imprints will be formed on the card.

You have to pass thread from one hole to another.
There no specific pattern or stitching method like we do in embroidery on cloth.

Closely study the designs and try to do.

The tools required are needle, pricking needle [or syringe ], embroidery threads, scissors, a flat thermacol of A4 size to keep under the card while making [ pricking ] holes, pencil and eraser.
