    Hi All,

we have constructed a new house. We didnt do wood work in kitchen or any where but its a spacious house.

the sad part is, we moved its 2-3 months and i see a lizard in our hall and sometimes trying to go2 bathrooms or kitchen.
I HATE LIZARDS and i dont have any idea why they come.

can anyone suggest any sprays etc.

hi OP, do you eat eggs ? If yes, you can place the empty shells wherever the lizard tries to go usually. You will see that the lizard will leave the place once and for all. Keep changing the shells once in 2 - 3 weeks.

If you do not eat eggs or do not like keeping the egg shells in your house, you can use peacock feathers or naphthalene balls instead. Lizards are known to be afraid of peacock feathers but I have never tried it myself.

No i have tried keeping peacock feathers above the tubelights where i see lizards but it doesnt have any effect. I do see couple of lizards moving near peacock feathers.

so it wont work or help to reduce lizard movements.

We shifted to a 4 year old rental apartment and there were 2 huge ones. called pest control guys specifically for lizards as well as for other insects like ants, cockroachs etc. they did their work and asked us to not be in house for 1 day. they were good enough guys to even run around and remove the 2 beasts. the affect stays for 6 months after which u need to get spraying done again. we have been lizardfree for the last 3 years in Chennai which is awesome!

for avoiding further, u can put nets on the windows and keep doors closed or have a net door. eggs and feathers havent worked for me too.

    hope this helps

    Hello Ladies

Is there any tip to avoid small black ants( harmless) in kitchen ? Though they didn't bite, mere sight on floor is disturbing me ( they are in groups )

    Thanks
