    Hello,
We are planning to move to Dwell apartments in Cherry Hill, NJ soon. We looked at highlands apartment also, but we could not get apartments for our preference (we want first floor only). So decided to take the apartment in Dwell. There is also a Kinder care day care /preschool for our three year old son. Are there any indians in Dwell Apartment? I saw some indian families in Highlands apartment which is adjacent to it. Please connect with me for making friendship.

    Hi Vinitha,
We may probably move to Cherry Hill area soon. We had been in US until 2012 and are now relocating back in NJ. Which apartment did you move in and what's the approx rent ? My hubby office will be in Woodcrest Road. Does the NJ transit service operate in this area ? Since initially we will not be having a vehicle, so looking for an apartment which is connected by bus service so that my hubby can travel. Hoping to have some inputs from your side.

    Thanks
    Shruthi

    Shruthi,
Nice to know that you are planning to move to NJ. We are currently living in "Dwell"apartments in Cherry Hill. The rent is somewhat on the higher side. We pay $1825 for a two bedroom and for an one bedroom it may be $1500-1600 range. There is one more apartment near by called "The Highlands". The price may be $100-200 lower than our apartment. But it also depends on the market condition. Better to call them up.

Regarding NJ transit, there is bus service exactly at our apartment's entrance. The route no is 406 and to reach woodcrest road, you may have to take two buses. The second bus route is 457. But it will be a long time traveling as the buses are not that frequent. Moreover the distance would be just 2.5 miles from our location. Where is your hubby going to work? I am sure there are lots of indians going from this area to woodcrest road. My husband drives to woodcrest station daily and take a train to Philly. But there will be apartments near to woodcrest road. If you can let me know the exact office location, I can help you more. My husband would be happy to drop your hubby to office till you guys buy a vehicle. I understand it will be pretty frustrating to find convenient apartments, but take an apartment that has connections to bus services. You can ask your hubby to enquire with his colleagues in his office also.

Feel free to contact me anytime if you need more information.

    ~Vinitha

    Hi Vinitha,
Thanks and appreciate your help and inputs....Actually we are looking for a one bedroom apartment initially until we get fully settled, but the price you mentioned in Dwell seems to be pretty high...Any idea about the Echelon Glen apartments in the Voorhees district? How far is this from 101 Woodcrest Road, where my hubby will be going to work...We have a 4 year old and looking for a good schooling district...Do you know if there is a bus service to Woodcrest road?

Since we were in GA before, my hubby's driving license has recently expired in Sep 2014. And I think in NJ it cannot be renewed; he will need to go through the whole procedure all over again (i.e. knowledge test + driving test). This will take some time, so initially looking for an apartment which is well connected to his office using the NJ transit. There is a Burnt Mill apartment nearby woodcrest rd, but we have heard they are not up to the mark.

Looking forward to hear from you....

    Regards,
    Shruthi

    Hi Vinitha,
After browsing through some sites, it seems that bus no 451 operates on the Camden-Voorhees route. You did mention that there's a bus stop outside Dwell complex, does it have the #451 service ? Also how far is the public groceries like walmart, etc. is this within close distance ? Appreciate your inputs and help which can help us narrow down the exact apartment.

    Thanks
    Shruthi

    Shruthi,
Rt 406 only comes near our apartment. There are Shoprite, WholeFoods, within a mile distance and target/walmart within 3 miles.
