Please Share Walking tips to stay fit and healthy

    After Marriage I put on more wait and recently diagnosed i am in prediabetic stage.Doctor advised to go for walking and consult the dietitian.I started walking after dinner in my terrace.Some of my friends say not supposed to walk after food.Is it right? and I am under treatment for baby.

    Dear Anita,

    Walking in the terrace will not help you. The best time to go for walks is the morning. Did the doctor specify how long you need to walk. I have been a diabetic for many years and the doctor specify that I need to have a brisk walk for 45 minutes everyday.
    Yes you should not walk after food.

    If you are diabetic then you should have an early dinner too. This helps.

    Thanks for your inputs.Let me avoid walking after dinner and start early morning brisk walk

    Your friends are right. You are not supposed to do fast walking immediately after food. Any exercises done immediately after eating is not good. Try to do walking before dinner. If you are very hungry before dinner, then eat a fruit , drink water and then do walk.

    Quick and fast steps will make walking faster. The faster walking is more beneficial
