Danny says the first organs to decompose is the Brain followed by the Stomach,large and small intestines and then the other organs.


When a body has to be kept for a while , they have to do the embalming , and every vein of the body is injected, so that the liquid is well distributed in the body.And according to Danny, their bodies can be kept fresh even for 2 years at a go.But u have to keep it in the morgue in ice.


Portable Freezer – Danny has invented a glass coffin, which is AC, and can be run on electricity or batteries.You can keep the body at your home for months, Fresh.He says this is the only one of its type perhaps in the World, of course they charge rent for it.Anybody interested ?


Drug Lord – This was an interesting case that Danny handled.A drug lord was shot in police encounter. 3 passports were found on his body, Indian ,Afghani and Pakistani.Indian Govt did not want anything to do with his body, said send it to Pak, and Pak did not want it.


The Uncle and Nephew of the deceased turned up, and said they want to send the body to Peshawar,Pak.Since Pak did not want it, they told Danny to try his best with his contacts in the Ministry in Delhi.Danny is used to Ministries and he sends bodies abroad, to various countries and knows the relevant ministries.On their expense, Danny went to Delhi, and managed to get permission to send the Body to Kabul via Peshawar, where the dead man had his relatives.


The body left in the flight, and the final destination was <?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = ST1 /><ST1:CITY><ST1LACE>Kabul</ST1LACE></ST1:CITY>, but they being influential people, got the body off <ST1:CITY><ST1LACE>Peshawar</ST1LACE></ST1:CITY> and it remained there where the final rites were performed.

These guys were so happy, that they came and put 5 lakhs cash in front of Danny, as their token of appreciation.Danny refused the offer, told them I will take my labour, but I don’t want this money , that is drug money.They told him Godfather style, Danny Boss, any time u have work with us,. Just give us a call, we are at yr service.


Son Dion – Danny said my son Dion did not want to get into this business.As he finds this morbid. So Danny told him a story. Dion, when SK Wankhade, and Vasantdada Patil , and other ministers died we did their funerals, how many people attended their funerals.Dion said around 10 to 20000 people.Danny said , do u know when yr granny died how many attended ? More than a lakh.Thats how much people love and respect us,this is a noble business.That convinced Dion to come into this business.


Charity Work – From Borivili to Churchgate, all the police stations have their phone Nos.Whenever the police has an unclaimed body, or an accident, they just call Pinto, and they send their men and Hearses, and they don’t charge a penny.


For the very poor, they perform every service, and even give the coffin free of charge.Danny says the lord has been very kind to us, and this is a small way we can repay his bounty.I was very touched.How many of us are there who do part with a part of our earnings for the needy !


Invitations for Mariages – I asked Danny, that I am sure you must not be called for marriages, as u must be considered inauspicious for the occasion.I was sorry the minute I said this, and I wished to have rephrased my words in a different way.But Danny just laughed loudly, and said “ Kamal, I am the first person they invite.You want to know why ? Because main kaam ka aadmi Hoon ( I am a useful person ) .They will need me sooner or later.HAHA.Danny has a wonderful sense of humour really.Some may call it black humour, but for me thisis a golden humour.The job he is in , is not pleasant.And to be cheerful and yet be humourous, is one quality very rare people have.


Khushwant Singh – This was around 15 to 20 years back he dosnt remember.Khuswant came to interview him for India Today, that too he is not very sure, as he is interviewed so many times.KS came all the way from Delhi, and had just water , and interviewed Danny for about 45 minutes.He dosnt much remember what was asked besides the funny one liners which tickled KS no end.


And now my interview with Danny.


And I can assure everyone here on this forum, that in case God forbid, anyone is in any problem relating to any hospital in Mumbai, there is just one person u need call that is Danny, and he will go out of his way to help u,.He knows everyone in the police, Hospitals,Doctors ,Politicans , u name it he knows them.


And If u guys don’t have Danny’s number , send me a note and I will tell Danny.It was my good fortune to have met Danny, and he is a dear friend to me.A Big man with a Big heart, the heart of Gold.


This ends all parts. Next time to something more cheerful, that u are used to from my Pen.
