No shruti I have not started solids. Doc told me to give rice water and apple juice since 4 months. I gave him twice and then he came down with cold cough and fever. So stopped after thst. Now plannig to give once he completes 6 months. You can ask your pead about it. Evefy pead has different opinion regsrding this. Do post on this forum if you plan to.start with solids.

Hi april..

My pead asked me to give my son nestum rice (semi solid or more towards liquid form) after he completed 4 months.. she asked bcos I was joining back work from July.. But mom was totally against it .. So I have not started solids till now.. planning to do so in 2 or 3 weeks as he would be around 5 1/2 months by that time..

Yeah even I M planning to wait till at least 5.5 months to start outside food. Their digestive system is not ready right now.

Also my doc is saying add salt to make it tasty. As far as I know we are not supposed to add salt and sugar till 1 year. So I found his suggestions weird. Anyone has any opinions regarding this
