    Dear friends,

for all addi velli (total 5 fridays) i will be working in afternoon shift, so i wont be able to join the special pooja at our temple which will be conducted in the evening.
so im planning to make lemon lamp and bring it to temple to pray in the morning and also to make small poja at home by having the lamp before going to temple.
is it ok since i read online that lemon lamps poja is done mainly for rahu kalam poja for durgai amman?
so many lamps should i bring to temple and to keep at home?

what is significant of making pooja with lemon lamp and maa vilaku? which is best for aadi velli?
this is my first time praying for addi month for peaceful family life. Kindly advice, tq in advance.

lighting lamp for durga in that too lemon is done for dosha parihara. if you have been guided to do that then you can do it between 10.30 to 12 which is the rahu kaalam for friday. lemon lamps not to be done at home. if you have to light lamps at home, do with a small lamp. you can pray to the lamp by treating it as a deepalakshmi. you can do this pooja too for aadi velli.

for maavilaku, it is done at home if there is a tradition. if not ask your elders for permision. you can do the maavilakku. again there are difference in the methods. we don't make them as balls. while some make it as a stiff round ball and then light the lamp.

praying with sincerity and devotion is what counts.
