    Does anybody recommend a good salon in Charlotte? I want to get some hair highlights done. Any experiences?

    Hi.. did you find a good place to do your highlights? I'm looking to try something new myself but am not sure - I've had pretty good experiences with Haircuttery - the one at Carolina Place but have not tried highlights - perhaps you'd need a specialized salon like Toni and Guy or something closer to your neighborhood - are you in North or South Charlotte?

    Hey Sujatha,
    I got the highlights done @ Mahalo Salon at the intersection of South Tryon and Steele Creek...It's very near to my home and they did a very good job..I am happy...I live close to carowinds.....I am not sure if haircuttery does highlights or not....let me know if you need info about this Salon

    Hi Mridusudha, it sounds like you live really closeby. We live in Steele Creek too. Glad to hear you got your highlights done - I might look them in the future too. have been wanting to do something different with my hair for sometime. Did you have a particular look in mind when u went in or were they able to style it pretty much on their own?

    Hi Sujatha,
    I wanted the highlights to be kind of reddish...No red red...but kind of mahagony color...
    So I told the stylist and he showed a book which has different shades...There must be more that 100 shades but he said since my hair is natural black either red/brown/carmel highlights would look good....I choose a lighter shade in red...They came out really good...I like it and I got lot of compliments too...:) I am already ready to try out brown/carmel :) but probably in
    but probably in winter..

    Well, I live in Hamilton Lakes close to River gate shopping center. Where do u live in Steele Creek? May be we can meet sometime?
