    San,
I used a baby bath tub with a bath sponge underneath the baby until he was 7 mnths. Then he could sit and I just made him sit in the tub. After 9 mnths he stands holding on to something and bathing has become much easier. I think this Especially for Baby - Comfy Bear Bath Sponge - Babies 'R' Us - Babies "R" Us may help you.

San - are you talking abt the sloping bit hurting the baby? I have a similiar tub and I used a sponge over the sloping bit (under the baby) for exactly that purpose.

San, you're not supposed to lay the baby on this tub. If you notice, one side is for newborn and the other side is for infant and toddler. If your baby can sit with back support and keep his/her head up then use the toddler side, the one without the slope. I give Riya a bath while she's sitting up playing with her bath toys.

    Hi,
I have been using the Primo Bath Tub and is great since it can be used from newborn to 2 years old
Amazon.com: PRIMO EuroBath Pearl White: Baby

It is bigger than a regular baby bath tub and I would recommend it to some one who is living in a house. Not a good choice for apartments. The design is simple on one side you can lie baby down till they can support their back ( I have used this since LO was 3 weeks) and on the other side it can be used once baby sits up. My kiddo is 9 months so I put this bath tub inside my regular bath tub, fill it with water ( you do not need a lot of water like the adult bath tub) and then put his body wash and toys. He has a lot of fun splashing and playing in the bath. I bought a stool to sit next to the bath tub so I do not have to strain my bath tub. Also I bought a simple $2 spout cover so that if LO stands up he may not accidently hit himself against the faucet. Once he is sitting and playing I put some soap in a wash cloth and give him a full wipe down ( since he is not yet standing up the new born side is useful here since he has to lay down flat so that I can access his full body ) and then I drain the soapy solution ( bath tub has a drain) and I rinse him with fresh water. I also use a mug to pour water over him. Since the bath tub can be used till he is 2 + it is a really good investment. Since it is all plastic it is easy to clean in case of accidents and dries up fast and does not get mildew.

In that case, use the side that says infant, he won't be lying down all the way but his head will be supported. His bottom should sit right next to the indent inthe middle. The indent is there so the baby doesn't slip down in the bath tub. Hope this makes sense.

    hi,
i also use first years infant to toddler tub. I used the sling till 5 months. it was very comfortable to give bath in it.but after 5 months i used the newborn side in the tub, i.,e. the slope side..but she keeps her head up and tries to sit up.. when i try the infant side she is bending forward...till now i am not very comfortable with either of the sides...
by the way how do you give head bath. can you please tell me.

San, I was going to suggest the sling like Dolly mentioned. I never used the sling, since my mom was here for the first three months, so she used to give Riya baths 'south indian style' and after that she was able to hold her head up so I just used the infant side of the tub.

Dolly, for head bath I use the kitchen spray and push her head back on the infant side after shampooing her. It's hard, but I block her temple by one hand so water doesn't trickle through to her nose and spray her hair with another.
