Hi Friends,

We have often seen beautiful faces but when we look at their other body parts it looks a little dull and lacks glow . So how to achieve this glow and shine all over the body ? The answer is very simple " Exfoliate". Exfoliation not only removes the dead skin but scrubbing action also improves the blood circulation . Regular exfoliation of the whole body helps you achieve the celebrity like glow. The wonderful part is you can achieve this at the comfort of your own home without having to spend a lot of money. So every bathing experience becomes a spa like experience. So, here i share with you an amazing way to prepare the body scrub all by yourself with the simple products readily available at your kitchen counter. After scrubbing you will certainly feel the difference but regular usage will certainly bestow you with a miraculously soft, shiny and amazing skin.

Ingredients :

1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Salt
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup oil( Coconut / gingely/olive/ almond/ vitamin e/ or the mix of all )
Essential oil of your choice ( I used lemon grass oil this time )
If you really want to be super creative you may add a littlle edible food color of your choice for the store like feel but, i like to keep it simple.
A container to store the contents

Procedure :

1)Add 1 cup sugar + 1 cup salt to the container
2)Add 1/2 cup honey
3) Add 1/2 cup oil
4)Add the essential oil of your choice
5) Mix all the contents thoroughly well .
6) You should be able to see the oil settling on top of the scrub.
7) Now the scrub is ready to be used . Keep it in your bathroom and this isn't perishable because sugar and salt are natural preservatives .

Method of application:

I have been using this scrub thrice weekly .This scrub contains a lot of oil and helps restore the moisture. I apply this evenly all over my body and work it up with gentle strokes. Make a paste of the herbal wash powder and apply it gently over the scrub and keep exfoliating the whole body part with mild and gentle strokes. Please don't use this sugar and salt body scrub on your face as this can be very harsh for the facial skin. Wash it off with luke warm water . Your skin texture will improve with time and it would be soft and supple like never before.

So get ready to achieve that celebrity like body polishing effect at the comfort of your home totally organic.

PS: Please use this scrub in your underarms as this will remove the dead cells from there and will lighten that area with time . Please perform a patch test before trying all over your body. If the scrub irritates you kindly avoid .

Very glad to know that yr prepared it for yourself and it helped you. You can sieve the contents to get the fine texture and the coarse material left on the sieve can be used as a body scrub. store them in two different containers. Since you have a dry skin you may also apply some gingely oil ( Nalla yennai/ seasame oil) before bathing and you can use the wash powder like how its to be used. Will keep you skin from drying out.Keep using this daily and you are sure to get a wonderful skin .

My daily routine starts with drinking water in empty stomach without spitting the saliva because that has sooo many medical values that this space isn't enough to describe. I also take Methi dana( Fenugreek seeds)empty stomach because it keeps the bowel system clean and also helps maintain weight . I wash my face with the herbal face wash prepared by me . I apply Coconut oil on my face after that and massage it for a minute or so. I make my own beauty drink which helps my skin and health stay fit and fine. It includes ( Carrots , beetroots, spinach,cilantro, mint or any one of the above ground to a smoothie consistency ) . Before shower i apply Ubtan and leave it as is while i do my other work. I remove it under the shower and use my wash powder instead of soap.I moisturize my whole body with Vit e oil giving a good massage . I also wash my face in the evening and apply any organic oil. I again wash my face at night and clear off my skin of all the dust and dirt if any present. I apply a generous amount of Rogan badam shrin and massage gently around the eyes . And i am off to sleep ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

A simple Natural conditioner for hair :

1/2 cup mustard oil.
1 Lemon

Take mustard oil and heat it in the microwave for 1 min . If on stove heat it for a minute or so. Allow it to cool for a minute. Squeeze one lemon into the mustard oil, mix well and apply this mixture all over your hair and scalp. Leave it to rest for 1 - 2 hr ( as per your wish or maybe even more) . Wash off with your favorite shampoo. Your hair will be well conditioned with this pack and you wouldn't need any artificial conditioner to control the frizz. Makes your hair strong and long .
