Hi friends, I need clarification regarding birth certificate

In such cases, you may have to produce your marriage certificate as well in the places where birth certificate is needed.

Not sure if name in the birth certificate can be changed. Let us see what others say.

 

hi you might have a problem when applying for passport for your child where I think details of both parents are needed. Other wise I don't think it will be an issue. My friend too faced similar problem, she had her maiden name in the passport and birth certificate her name with husbands name. she had to get her passport reissued with her marital name. this is wht my friend did(she ws in india for delivery). I am not aware of any other solution. If you are abroad then you can check with the embassy.

 

Depends on which part of the world you are in. You can either officially change your name to reflect your married name and have that document handy or get the birth certificate changed.

 

if feel worried about it.. you can go for affidavit..for it.

 

I think it will be better to change birth certificate if that is possible. Better to keep same name in all documents. or you might have change everything passport, driver license
