    Hello Friends,

I am a month pregnant. Me and my husband thinking of having the baby in USA. But i heard once we return to India, NRI kids have to pay more school fees than other kids. Is it so? Has anybody faced this?

Why? Because the kid has a US birth certificate? This is ridiculous, if true.
I detest the practice in India of gouging foreign tourists for extra cash at every monument. I do not want to hear that this practice is spreading. Jeez, all over Europe and in the United States any kid can get a free education and our schools are resorting to these creative tactics? Aaah the wonders of private enterprise! It's hard to believe - I hope someone knowledgeable responds to this!

    Dear PinkRoseBud Sister,

The NRI (Quota) fees in applicable in the Higher Studies especially in Professional Colleges, But YES the so called Business (Commercialized) Fee structured schools who have fleecing attitude (sorry to mention but it is a fact), they are also capitalizing just to make money, so you need to be careful in your selection not to fall prey, Otherwise many schools are quite like the same way as earlier.

    Happy Hunting Admission, Best wishes..

    Thank you Saisakthi.
I am carrying now, Since we are planning to settle in India, me and my husband thought we should consider all these factors before having the child in the USA. Seems like its 50 - 50. There are both kinds of schools there.
