    My dear Preethi !

That you derived enjoyment from the prasadam shows, how much of happiness & joy you have received from the prasadam, besides ofcourse, the eating part !
That is the concept behind prasadam !
    Thaks for your F b.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Chitra Garu ,
your explanation about prasadam really inspired me. it is true that what ever happens in our life we have to accept it as god's grace.

    Dear Chitra Madam,

I read ur post on Prasadam. I have to say this is my first time reading a post by you on spirituality. Only after I read this I came to know that Prasadam has such a wonderful meaning. To me so far prasadam was just puliyodarai or pongal from the temple. I would never have thought of looking at results of our actions as prasadam from GOD, though I knew they are directly bestowed upon us by the Almighty.
I now know that you post regularly on thursdays and looking forward to read everyone of them, and also to catch up on the ones that u have posted so far slowly....
Thanks again for the wonderful explanation of Prasadam in layman's terms...

    love,
    Jothi.

    Dear Jothi,
    Welcome to this forum.
Prasadam does mean puliyodarai or pongal still, in the micro sense of the term ! So, don't think, you are wrong.
Apply it to the macro level & you find that every thing we get is prasada from Lord. Our vision changes, once we understand this.
You may please go to the index in the cultural thread & read topics which interest you. There are many like, lighting the lamp, going to temple. why do we pray etc.
Thankyou very much for your F B.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Prasadams to Gods and Goddess

    Hi,

I want to know which is the favorite prasadam for Gods and Goddess. I read somewhere in the net that Krishnas favorite prasadam was Paal Payasam. Like that if anyone knows for other Gods and Goddess and if it is made in a different way you can post the recipe too.

    Thanks,
    Sudha

    Dear Priya,
I suggest Kesari - it is less messy than pongal & can be distributed to friend in disposable cups. Not necessary to make sundal, unless you want a savoury.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Chithramma,
Wonderful explanation on prasada. As you said, if we can learn to accept whatever comes as God's divine gift or prasada, its impact on us will be less. It improves our mental strength also. It is easy to understand. But it is hard to internalize and practise :) Anyway, I will try my best!
    Love,
    Hema.
