Nine days with DeviNavarathri. Navarasa and Nava varnas. The greatness of Maa

It is during Navratri that all ladies and young girls enjoy visiting houses and seeing the Golu and if no Golu meeting their friends whom we cant meet often. Earlier everyone used to keep Golu but now very few people keep golu due to no place. When we were in Hyderabad many of them used to keep Golu with 9 or 11 padis and then garden and so many other creations.

Of late only I have started dressing up Durga Devi and feel very happy those nine days visiting people, accepting thambulam and the lovely gifts they give. Also feel happy when others visit our house and appreciate the Golu and accept thambulam. Many in IL have kept awesome Golu and its a feast to the eyes, compared to them mine is nothing. But still I am happy I could do something atleast

This year nine days was very hectic. When I kept the golu that day from 11 a.m. in the mornign till night I was busy arranging. From next day till yesterday about 50 ladies must have come for haldi kumkum. Also some came with their children. I also must have gone to 25 houses I think. If I was in the earlier house or own house I would have visited many more houses and also about 100 to 150 ladies would have come.

Glad that during Navratri I got opportunity to go to Lord Ganesha temple on Tuesdaqy and to Balaji temple on Friday and two Saturdays to Navagraha temple. From 9th to 12th , those 4 days was hectic because morning I went to some houses, came back made chundal and was doing some work or other so did not get time to rest. On 9th group of ladies of 11 came home,they had already informed so kept everything ready for them in carry bags as they will not have time much. They come sing two songs and then take thambulam and go. They told they will come at 3 or 3.30 and came only after 4 pm. Next 3 days also some ladies were coming at 3 or 3.30 so could not take rest. But still enjoyed giving thambulam and taking thambulam. Its a blessing to take thambulam and also to give thambulam.

On 13th , on Navami day one mami told me to come to another friend's house , who had Devi Bhagavatham for all nine days and also had dampathi pooja and kanya pooja. On 13th I could attend because of that mami and they were also happy. They also had Lalitha Sahasranama Archana.By the time I came home it was 2.30 pm. A friend who had come there came to my house and I felt good.

This time was happy that I could send dresses for my children and grandchildren during Navrathri. One friend of mine did not come till Saturday was feeling bad. Yesterday she phoned saying she is coming and it was already evening . I told her I have removed Golu but no problem I will show you in computer. Since I was busy arranging everything I only kept my computer open. But when I wanted to show her I could not log in to IL nor Facebook. Some how showed her the photos in kodak but was not happy. Anyway was happy that I could give thambulam yesterday too. Then later only I noticed that the timing, day, date etc. was not right in computer , thats why I could not log in to facebook nor IL.

For nine days Durga Devi was in front room and now she has come back to my temple in kitchen. I had given Durga Devi for painting and it took 4 days for her to come back home. My dh is organising a pooja for two days on26th and 27th and he goes for collection with other friends. H ewas saying those 4 days he did not good collection because Devi was not at home and the day she came back home he got Rs.10000/- collection for the programme.

Durga Devi gave me strength to do pooja everyday and offer neivedyam mornign and evening and give thambulam to many ladies. Do not know whether next year I will have the same strength to do alankaram and make something different next year. Everyday could meet all old friends and have nice time. My brother in law's family came on Saturday night. I gave uppu adai but could not make much because I was very tired. So also made dosa and gave them. Was happy that they all enjoyed and even brother in law's grand daughter had dosa. Also gave them butter milk with inji and salt and they all enjoyed and his dil was saying i will also make this at home. his gran ddaughter also enjoyed the butter milk. I was also happy that I made them happy

Nine Navrathri's I am not sure whether I will be there and if I am there also whether I will have the same strength. Anyway nothing is in our hands if God wills anything can happen.
