Hi we ( myself ,husband and 2 kids )are planning to visit Dubai at the end of Dec. I have few questions should I choose Package tours from India or should I do it on my own? Do we really need a guide to understand about the place or can we just roam around and explore. If we do it on our own do we need to opt for Hop on Hop off bus or half day city tour or just rent a tack for few hours will be sufficient 3 nights 4 days or 4 nights 5 days will be sufficient? I want to add one day for Abhudhabi I dont have anyone who could provide all these details so my friends in Dubai help me out
Hello Priya, Dubai is nice place to visit. If you have any friends/ relations it may be easy for you to travel around and stay.... If not also you can rent Hip on hop off bus here. Have you applied the visa's on your own or through travel agents ???

Hi Priya Sorry just now i saw your post. you just stick with tour package they will take you to all the place systamatically. All Americans with U.S passports(Tourist Passports) valid for more than six months are welcome to enter the UAE, and no longer need to obtain a visa to enter the country if the duration of stay is less than one month. This includes US citizens with visas or entry stamps from other countries. The Embassy does not issue visas on travel documents or re-entry permits. The Embassy accepts money orders or cashier's checks only, made payable to: The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates. All Visas require prior approval from the UAE authorities and the Embassy requires a minimum of four (4) business days to issue the visa. Thankyou so much Suman for you help .With regards to visa I think it applies the same the Muscat..We are little confused about tour package as they are charging exorbitant neatly 170000rs for 3 days. And they provide hotels like Rio which has so many negative reviews .So I thought we could just book the tickets , hotels.But not sure about taking Bigbus tour or just taking a taxi to all the places. Any input?
Hi at Big Bus tours website it gives a fare for adult , child and one for family(2 adults and 2 kids).we are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) .Is it enough to buy 1 family ticket?
When we took big bus tour before 5 years our son was only 3 years so he didnt need a ticket. I know it's not proper answer for this...May be some UAE friends could throw light on this.

I would like to recommend you to must visit Jumeirah Golf Estates, Deira Clocktower, Dubai Zoo, Dubai Museum and Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai because I have personally visited these places and these are awesome.
