Immigrating to Canada! Help!!

    Hi


    We are in the process of receiving our PR soon and are planning to move to Mississauga around Jun/Jul 2014. I had a few queries and hope some of you could help me with these...


    We have shortlisted a few schools and based on that have zeroed in on renting an apartment in Credit valley in Central Erin Mills. Does this area have most amenities (supermarkets, doctors, banks, etc) and are these at a walking distance from the residential areas?


    I am open to suggestions on good residential areas and schools (elementary and middle) in Mississauga.


    Also, I have heard its best to get a medical insurance before our arrival to cover us for the first 90 days..any recommendations on this are welcome.

    Happy t o hear about your migration status. We are also waiting for our visas, we are migrating as family. But we are supposed to be there before december 27,2013. we are planning to land in toronto. We are also in a state of confusion abt the things to be packed,schools, temporary residence etc., if you get any further information please do share with me.

    Congratulations :)

    I know what you mean...as exciting as it may be, moving to a completely new place is quite a daunting task. Though we have some time on our hands before we finally make the move, I wanted to get as much info as possible...sooner the better! We don't have anyone there to guide or help us so I have been researching about schools and areas on the net.

    I was hoping to get some more clarity on a few concerns hence raised my queries on IL. Hope ladies residing in Mississauga do find the time to help us out with these :)

    Should I find the info you need related to Toronto, will surely update on this thread.

    congratulations to both of you for your move. I am also trying for my sister's move to Canada who is in India. Could you give me more information on how to apply for Canadian green card? my sister is a ME graduate working as a professor my bil is a pediatrician. It will be really helpful if you provide information about how to proceed

    there are agents and lawyers who specialise in canadian immigration. You could check your local listings and contact them. Ensure that you contact reputable lawyers /agents in the business.

    i may know of a lawyer in NJ, if you're interested. Let me know and I will try and get you the contact information.
