Try feeding one at a time to avoid pain or you can express milk for someone else (Mom, DH..etc) to feed one baby while you breast feed the other....

when did your kids move to Demand feed...currently I am following the same schedule as what was being done in NICU...but my mom is gonna leave in 2 days..so not sure how to manage...

What was your expereince in transition from Fixed qty feeds (for Low birth weight babies) to Regular On Demand feed like other babies...

Also milestones for both seem diff..is that common??

Hows your kids? Are they able to identify you?

& one quick question to you.. Which formula you are giving? Is it new born one or premie formula? I'm giving Premie formula only.. So when we have to start giving the regular new born formula?

 

Hi Viksha.... A big hearty congrats on the arrival of the baby boys... I wonder how you managed to find time to even inform us on the good news...Must be really busy, hope you are taking care of yourselves.
Meanwhile, as we are on the waiting list, had a few queries (only if you can find time to answer), how was the birth weight of babies? did they go in any NICU? are you completely relying on breast feeding or a mix up? Any other tips you would like to provide us?

Nice names Mathira...we also were giving premie formula..once kids came to 2.9 kgs (last check up) Dr asked to switch to regular formula...what are their weights now...

 

Ohh.. So it's based on the weight of the babies & not the months.. Right now we are giving Similac Neosure. Since the quantity is very less (somewhat around 30-40ml), they are crying more frequently.. If we increase also, they can't take it in one stretch.. & if we give it forcefully then, they will spit up immediately.. that's y, i want to change the formula... Anyway, Tomorrow we have an appointment with Pead & i will check with her also.

in some cases like my cousin Dr decided based on months...how are you doing..all settled in the new routine...how often do you feed them..

 

Hi SSM,

Even our dr suggested us to continue the same formula until 6-9months. So we have to use the same similac for the next 4-6 months. Settling down may take some time.. Both of them are having nasal problems & they also have colic.. :-( so most of the time, they are crying & wanted us to take them in hands...

& How are ur kids dng? I think they have completed 3 months.. Hope you might have settled down now.. Take care..

My Baby boys were 2.4kg each on birth , 2.3 kg on discharge and 2.5 on end of second week..
Using BF and Lactogen ..... After completion of second week , came to moms place .. 5hrs journey from bengaluru ..
names are not yet decided..

All other twin mommies.. how are babies doing?
How did u feed in 1st month? every 2nd hourly ?? when did u switch to on-demand? Its so tough to feed 2nd hourly...
