A cake to be baked!

Fighting with me to bake as planned
With apron around and spatula in hand
Puzzled what to do, or where to start
your naughty eyes look at me, melting my heart

I try to help you, but you won't listen
just making me want to, change my decision
You look at me, and I again fall in your trap
This time,in my arms, I wrap you around

You mix the flour with some more water
I cheat on you and replace the batter
We put the cake in oven for some time
watching the timer, you mummble and rhyme

Ting Tadang, the beep makes a sound
you run to the oven, and there on it you pound
I shout at you, coz the oven is hot
you say, I know momma, I am wearing the gloves you got

We remove the cake, and I see you full of joy
Shouting with happiness, the sight so wonderful, Oh boy!
You tell me that we will cut the cake with Daddy,
but I know you want to taste it now, so badly

So I tell you, that we will bake again
When Daddy comes, he will be your chef assitant
You are now jumping with joy, all over the place
I wish I can capture forever, this innocent face

With your little hands, you feed me cake
tears in my eyes, saying wonderfully it is made
you feel so happy and hug me tighly again
And I think in my heart, don't know this will happen when

But I"ll wait, coz I know some day will come
when I will be the reason, for you to be at home
Loving, cuddling and hugging me
and with a naughty smile, calling me mommy!
