Day care suggestions for Toddler

Hi All,
Its time to send my DD (16 months) to day care, from next month we are planning to send her.
Needs some tips to make the transition process smoother..

1. Can we send her for full day from the very first day or start with few hours initially and then gradually make it full day? Which one is convenient for her?
2. Planning to send moong dal khichdi/dalia khichdi. Please suggest some other lunch ideas and back up foods if she does not eat her lunch.
3. What type of lunch box to use - dont want to use plastic as it is not good for reheating? I have a Thermos which keeps food hot for 4 hrs, we used it couple of times when we went out. Any other ideas ?
4. How many blankets/crib sheets do we need to send/keep ready?

Any kind of suggestions are welcome

2. Planning to send moong dal khichdi/dalia khichdi. Please suggest some other lunch ideas and back up foods if she does not eat her lunch.- I would say send any food that your kid likes and easy for her to eat without a mess.. You can send Dosa, Puri, idli.. I think there is a section that discusses this
3. What type of lunch box to use - dont want to use plastic as it is not good for reheating? I have a Thermos which keeps food hot for 4 hrs, we used it couple of times when we went out. Any other ideas ?_ I always used to send in NUK brand boxes that are BPA free and reheatable. If you ahve thermos you sure can
4. How many blankets/crib sheets do we need to send/keep ready?- I think they normally take only one set of each.. You can change it every day or weekly

Of course, gradually would be best.

you could buy microwave safe containers. Thats what I use.
4. How many blankets/crib sheets do we need to send/keep ready?
I dont send any as at the daycare they do give everything they need for my DD. perhaps you can check with the day care and ask them. How ever, I do send couple of pairs of cloths for her.
