    Help me please

Dear Mam - I'm in a great mess with my Dosa batter. When I went to the Indian stores here, just to try out, I took a different brand of parboiled ( Ruhana parboiled long grain) rice and when I grind it, the rice flour was comparatively more than it normally comes. So I took away some portion of the rice flour separately. Now the dosa batter doesnt come out properly if I make dosa out of it, Idlies are worst than Dosa. For dosa, the outer layer get cooked quickly/crispy, but the inner portion doesnt get cooked at all, I've to press the dosa to get it cooked or else it just get burnt and wont come out of tawa. am in a great mess with this batter :drowning. Over the weekend I prepared this batter in a big vessel-full and does not want my weekend effort go through the drain. Please help me how do I resolve this

    Re: Help me please

    Dear MSM,

Try different combinations. Like take little of this flour and add rice powder and try making the dosas. Then it will not stick to the tawa. You can similarly try adding some maida or wheat flour. Till you finish this ground flour try to make different varieties of dosas. Next time buy different quality of rice

    Hope I have been helpful

    Regards
    Uma

Did u add urad dhal while grinding? Any ways if u want to empty the batter or if the batter becomes very old then u do these things like

Take some portion of batter add onions & fry it if ur nt weight freak
Take some portion of batter add some jaggery (grated or nicely mixed with the batter) & fry it
Try to do kulipaniayram if u have never come across this u can browse it in net
