Manathakalli got the medicinal value of curing mouth ulcer and stomache ulcer. You could chew fresh manathakali for mouth ulcer and make keerai porial with moongdal for stomache ulcer. Mudkkarran kirai will cure rhumatic problem. The name itself specifies , mudkku arran, that it will cure mudkku vatham. Mudakkarran is a climber and it will be a liitle bitter. Once in a week we could make chatni with this keerai as we make other puli (Tamarind) chatni with blackgram and bengalgram dals. Those who does not mind bitter taste could make porial also.If we eat it regularly, we could avoid falling prey to mudakkuvatham. I got both plants in my house. Wish you all a healthy life!
    Bye!

    Dear Sreechandra,
    Sorry for replying so late.
Manathakkali is a baji and it also gives small pepper sized fruits. These are plucked before they ripen and dried up with salt after keeping them mixed with salt for a few days. When dried up they would be in wood colour. You get dried manathakali vathal in providsion shops. You can fry it up in oil or ghee and mix it up with rice and eat. In south India we make vatha kuzambu with manathakali vathal. The fresh manathakali baji colud be cooked with dhal and could be used with chapthis as side dish. It is good for both mouth and peptic ulcer. But I do not know whether you are getting it in Rajasthan.
    Love,
    PS
