Yes... I am back to normal, although there are plenty of complains such as backache, leg pains, swelling, and heavier abdomen. But compared to my first trimester, I look much much better now.

I have entered to my 6th month, and I can easily feel the baby's movement often. This one is so active than my previous one when he was inside me. This baby kicks me often, and sometimes I have a feeling like when is she actually resting or sleeping?

I am eating normal, for weight gain and stuff my doc suggested a milk power, that I am consuming in the mornings. Also I am taking needful vitamins and all...

I lost about 4-5 kgs in my first trimester, but now definitely I have put on more weight. My doc appointment for glucose test and scan is tomorrow.. Will be able to tell you how big I am now!!!

I am definitely showing now.... So, started getting this extra care and attention from all the fronts... Sometimes I get annoyed although I like the privilege of being pregnant at both career or family front.

I've done the GTT (Glucose tolerance test) and PPBS tests. Both were normal... My doctor advised me to eat well and eat whatever I am craving for.. Of course a balanced diet.

The GTT was a hectic as you are made to wait in the hospital for 3 hrs, and 3 times they get blood and urine samples to test your glucose after having made you drink some glucose drink in the morning. But thank God, the result was good.

I did my glucose tolerance test as well on the weekend - and it was so tiring...! Best to do it first thing in the morning and get it over and done with! So my doctor asked me to do a two hour test and I drank the glucose once I got there and then they took samples after the 2nd hour... I was a bit confused about that - but she said, they could take samples in the 1st hour and the second hour - so no issues either way... I got my results back and it says all okay for glucose, but my white blood count is high... after googling a bit, I found out that means my body is fighting off some infection... but funny thing is, I am not aware of anything! I am not sick or anything, just tired and looking for a good night's rest !!

How's everyone doing with the sleeping on the side advice? I am trying to sleep on my left side as much as possible - but I get really sore doing that, then I shift to my right side and then my back - then feel all guilty about that and force myself to sleep on my left side again! Lols!!

As it's my second, I am not too sure about baby showers... I am busily preparing for my daughter's 4th birthday in a month's time...so I might eat the cake and pizza then and take it as my baby shower! :)

Are any of you travelling between now and your due date? I am planning to, so I can deliver the baby at my parent's place, the doctor said best to do it before 30 weeks, although airlines allow pregnant women on flight up to 32 weeks... what's your take on it? Any advice would be helpful!

Talk more later, hugs from me! :)

congrats SGBV and svenkate on passing the glucose tolerance test!..wish me luck too!

@svenkate-i am either sleeping on right side or back...never tried the left side..though I heard its good for blood circulation..you must be having a ball organizing DD's birthday!..have a blast.

about travelling, just get a go signal from your doctor...everything else should be fine as long as you stay hydrated and take short breaks in between for walking 5-10 mins to prevent any clots...by the way whats your mode of travelling?

    Hi Pooja

Wish you good luck for the GTT, hope it would be fine too.

    Dear Svenkate

The mode of travel and the time is important to decide, although it is all upto your doctor to give you a green signal in this regard.

I used to travel only by car or in luxury buses, which is very fine so far... But the distance is short and I am always allowed to take a break whenever I want. I hope I will continue my traveling till I deliver as my job involves some trips, meetings outside so it just happens with me. My doctor said it is fine as long as i am comfortable and the reports stay normal... So far so good...

I had my first one during my first trimester (I think when it was 11 weeks) and then the second one was 06 weeks later. This is my second pregnancy.
I remember it was at the beginning of 3rd month and 5th month in my first pregnancy too.

Didn't your Dr advise you to do it before?

    HI,

I asked my doc before 20 weeks and she said, we will c in your next appointment, now after 20 weeks when I went to show my 20th week scan report, she was on leave and I met another doc. Although she did a thorough checkup, i forgot to ask abt TT and she too didnt say anything. So was a little worried. Will check with her next week.

    Thanks
