@ramyav i am good. It is quite tough managing pregnancy with a toddler. Shayna's terrible 2's have started. It completely stresses me out. I feel I am losing patience. So am finding summer programs that will accept Shayna. I am more stresses about how Shayna will be when I am in the hospital.

Yes...I am showing. Shall know the gender next month.

Rithu sure knows how to attract girls. Maybe some of the girls will start feeding him too.

    Hi Moms!
I wish all the kids a second happy birthday. I assume by now all reached 2 by now except shayna and my LO!!

My updates: We sent Tanvi for the first time to day care. Our plan is to send half days for 2days and then full time!! She did gr8 for the first hour and then when the teacher tried changing the diaper that's when the reality kicks in for her! She started looking for us and cried(screamed  ) and after that she isn't happy :(

Hoping she will be all set in few days!!

Ramva_cse - How long does Rithu took to get adjusted to daycare?

Ramyaramani - How r u doing with pregnancy and toddler? By now you must have known the gender of baby? So happy for you!! Are you back from India?

@lathangi: we did a pretty bad job for Rithu due to some unplanned stuff...he did not get adjusted for 1 whole month...cried n threw up n did everything possible for 1 whole month...but he was much smaller when we first sent him. If Tanvi had as much stranger anxiety as Rithu, you must be prepared for loads of tantrums...they will cry, plead, vomit, go on a hunger strike, refuse to eat b.fast/change clothes/change diapers in the morning, not trust you even in the weekends...poor thing went through too much n lost a lot of weight too...later he started liking the teachers n even liked going there n now hez in the 2 yr class(yay - officially preschool!!), he refused to go into that class on the first day n then eventually gave up on day -2...
If you see any of the tantrums, hold on...it will get better but will send u on a guilt trip every now n then...
    Gud luck to you!!

And a very Happy Bday to all the LO's...hope all the LO's had a gud one :)

@ramya_cse - Thank you!!thank you!! Thanks for the heads up! My Dh and I are already buried in guilt:drowning but good to know that we are not alone.. all the parents/kids go this way.
Second day at day care, Tanvi is not happy. But she thinks her teacher is her primary caretaker and want to be with her all the time. If she is out of her sight, then she cries! I hope all this be over soon and she would get adjusted to new place. The main prblm is Tanvi now understand our language Telugu and they speak English to her.. Not sure how she handles..

Congrats for Rithu for promotion and glad he is enjoying his new class. We joined Tanvi to the 2yr old class. Her daycare starts from 2yr old kids..

@all - Does your kids fully potty trained? We haven't started it.

My pleasure lathangi...My guess is since Tanvi likes her teacher, she must be fine...I also had this doubt about Rithu following the language(and still do) but I feel they are capable of following all languages at this stage...he repeats all that we say these days but his tone looks american...so looks like english could stay with him but we make sure we speak in tamil at home...

We will be starting potty training from july 1...I wanted to start this week but my DH felt he needs to adjust to the new class and so is giving him more time...Rithu actually used to tell us when he wanted to poop right from 18 months, but we were travelling and we did not take much effort to potty train him...I try every now n then but since his daycare doesnt do it before 2, it was difficult to continue...

Happy Birthday to all the LO's

@lathangi Pregnancy in India is a breeze. My mom and sister take care of Shayna. Shayna also goes to a playschool here. So it sure has been fun with all the pampering. I am returning back tonight. So the stress levels are going to increase from tomorrow.

I took the second trimester scan in India. So dont know the gender of the baby yet. I am thinking of keeping it as a surprise till the end.

I have potty trained Shayna to about 80%. She tells me when she is not in diapers. If I put a diaper then she tells me for poop.

@ramyav @lathangi I enrolled Shayna in a preschool for a month. Initial 3 days I sat along with her in her class. Even for that she screamed and cried. After that the first 2 days she cried for an hour or so. Threw up too. After that she cries only when I drop her, say for like 5 minutes. She used to ask her teacher to keep carrying her. She would cry once the teacher attended to some other kid. This settled down after a week. Now she searches for the teacher but also plays with thr other kids too.

First one week she would eat very less or nothing. From last week she has been eating ok.

I will have to start the process of finding a play school which starts immediately once I reach.
