World Creativity and Innovation week has been celebrated globally since 2002. It has been celebrated to bring out creativity of people in businesses, organizations, schools, and communities to generate new ideas for a brighter future.

Marci Segal who is a specialist in the field of creativity and psychology is a member of the World Future Society, is co-founder of World Creativity and Innovation Week April 15 – 21 along with her colleagues and also a life member of the Creative Education Foundation.

Indusladies always gives a special place for people to show their creativity.
So we have decided to celebrate this week with a contest -

BEST OUT OF WASTE

All you have to do is to create an art/artifact out of waste material like paper, plastic container, etc., and upload it here with steps/procedure you followed for making it like, step 1, step 2, step 3....

The contest ends on 21 April 2013.

The winner will be getting a special prize from Indusladies.

Then why are you waiting for the last date!!

Search your trash, get an :idea and come out with an artifact to showcase it here.

Strictly avoid copy/paste from net.

Do we have to post step by step instructions or completed pictures of it.

Because, I have many completed pictures of my art from waste material

Hi,

It will be great if you can post step by step pics...but in case you have something already prepared, you can write clear step by step instructions of how you made it and post the final picture.

I am posting my first entry using WASTE INVITATION CARDS/OLD CALENDAR crafts:

Things required :

1) Waste Invitation cards

2) glue/cello tape/ stapler

How to do a Pen stand/Flower Vase holder/Round box - 3 in one ( using waste Invitation cards)

STEP 1) You need waste invitation cards. Roll the invitation Card and paste the edges with glue or cello tape or Staple it. For the base, I have used a small rectangular piece, and applied glue and pasted the Invitation Card roll on it. Flower Vase is ready

STEP 2) For Box LID: Wrap the end of Vase with a rectangular sheet of invitation card. Staple it. Make sure the lid goes in and out( while closing and opening). Draw a circle or measure for the top/base portion, and cut it, and paste it on the wrapped prepared lid. Round box is ready.

Bookmarks and Wall Hanging :

Bookmarks :

Draw your favorite character or any picture, and design it with left over invitation card designs. I have drawn a vintage girl, and used floral designs for her skirts, and gold roses and leaf for her tops and bags.

Wall Hanging::- In most of the invitation cards, you would notice lord images, and cut your favorite designs. I have used old Table Calendars as my base, pasted the lord images, and painted it with green. You could also decorate it with stones.

Framing your favorite images::- In one of the invitation card, I have seen lord Ganesha and Sai baba with Mantras, so I framed it using Cello tape( black)
