I stopped taking metformin after 12th week ( as suggested by my doctor) ,, and after that fortunately my levels were ok throughout the pregnancy. Honestly I am not a sweet lover but during my pregnancy i craved for sweets and ate all kinds of sweet.

Thanks Jyothi.. Just wanted to share what worked for me..

Regular workout, aeorbic classes, ab workouts , upper body & lower body - 6 days a week in the morning and 1/2hr elliptical in the evening every single day!.. drink plenty plenty plenty of water...

diet : sathu maavu kanji with milk ( refer to chitvish recipes) - this is nutritious, you also can add 'flax seeds mild that have omega 3 fatty acids. it holds good for 3 hours.. really don't feel hungry..

lunch - 3 rotis and any dal, avoid, cottage cheese/panner, use less oil..one cup of fruit

again drink lots of water.. about 3 litres of water/ day.

night - eat anything in limited quantity and a cup of yougurt and don't miss out in fruits best are melon & cantiloupe. once in a while bananas are okay. try to finish your dinner by 7:30-8:00 pm

the catch is to completly avoid rice and not starve !!.. eat healthy at frequent intervals. i substituted it with water. It basically cleanses your system.

you can see visible results !!

Please note - esp for PCOS - excercise, water and the prescribed medication play very crucial role..

    good luck everyone!!

    Jyothi,

I got it from chitvish recipes.. Here's my variation..
Sago, cracked wheat, pottu kadalai, almonds, cashews, ragi, flax seeds, soya granules - dry roast all these and grind it to powder consistency.

You can add water and bring it to a boil - make sure it doens't form lumps, then add milk & sugar or buttermilk and salt , your preference.

You also can add dates syrup if you get it and like it when you add milk & sugar.

    great drink!

Anybody with high insulin levels and Cholestrol levels?

    Hi All,

Do any of you have high insulin levels and Cholestrol levels associated with PCOS? Which doctor do you go to? I feel my Gynaecologist is not of much help in my case. Whom else can I consult for PCOS other than a gynaecologist? What medications or treatments are you all on for high insulin and colestrol levels? Please help me out, I am teriibly upset about me having this PCOS.

    Hi Bhuvanag Devi,
I to have PCOS with right fallopian tube blocked. Now taking tablets for PCOS. For me after treatment PCOS effect has been reduced after some 3 months of medication n weight reduction.
Pls Consult with a gynec & do necessary test & start the treatment. I think PCOS can be cured.
Abt the tube block, One can even conceive with one tube.... The thing is, u will take some more time compared to both tubes working.... i m TTC with working left tube..... just started the journey..... last month right ovary had dominant follicle & this month its left one & hoping for best!!!!

Don worry to much!!!! Anything is possible with ur positive spirit.....
