Instant Tomato Juice - If i don't have any fruits at home, I would offer this low cal juice (that provides instant energy too).

Grind together (quarter tomatoes and remove seeds with a spoon, add salt, sugar, pepper, chat masala (optional), water ) , serve cold with ice cubes. Its a low cal juice that will keep your guests energetic too..

It's a play date and sleep over for my 8year old and two of his friends.....
Inspite of planning ahead, had lot to churn out all through the day.....

    Grilled cheese sandwiches......
    Vegetable bondas.......
    Stuffed and baked mushrooms.........
    Car shaped dosas.....

A long day but fine day...now they are in the bed.....after sipping hot milk with honey......

Tomorrow would be a little outing day.....planning to pack some food and lot of snacks n fruits......

Adding to my list - Avocado Paratha (also called as Guacamole Paratha)..

Mix 2 mashed avocadoes, salt, pepper, oil, lemon juice (1 tspn), minced garlic (optional), 2 cups of wheat flour/chapati flour, knead it together without adding any water. If its very sticky, add another quarter cup of wheat flour to get the right consistency. Close the dough and leave it for 4 minutes. Please don't add water to make the dough. It makes 15 parathas (these are very soft and come out very well and stays soft for very long time). This can be served with yogurt.

I tried this out yesterday and I could make it really quick.. I didn't have anything in my pantry yesterday, all I had was avocadoes (not even tomato or onion), so I made the avocado paratha.

I remembered this thread and thought will post it here..

Most of the things are already covered; other than that what I can think of is
    1. French toast
2 Microwave corn bread ( the whole thing can be assembled under 10 minutes)
    3. If it is a friend who like keralite food; then it will be "love-letter" . It is a nick-name for maida dosa with filling of grated coconut/cardamom powder and sugar).
    4. If I have ripe plantain in hand;
    a. Pazham Pori (ripe plantain covered in maida batter)
    b. This is a dish that my mother makes; deep fry bread in ghee; and then fry cubed ripe banana; and mix both.
