Hi ilites, Pls post here the best educational dvd's which you feel have helped your kid a lot especially kindergarteners and 1st graders... TIA RAmya
We bought a set of 5 DVDs under Leapfrog brand for my son when he was 3 yrs old.It teaches alphabets, numbers, words etc and it was very useful for him.Infact,I too learnt a few things from those DVDsBig Laugh.Little Einsteins is also good but I really don't think it teaches kids anything in particular except that it is interesting to watch.
Sunitha, Thanks for your input..I too have bought leapfrog's phonics dvd for my kid..He has learnt quite a lot about phonics because he actually new to the concept of phonics..Do you know anything about DVD which teaches addition, subtraction?Any idea about Jumpstart dvds? TIA Ramya
Hi ramya, Jumpstart worked well for kids..and the series upto 5/6th grade is good. I have got all of them..and its playful way works very well. The same way Dk Learning center cd's and encyclopaedia also works fine...
Thanks shanvy..Do jumpstart have dvd's for all subjects seperately? I'm looking for kindergarten maths..
Jumpstart intially had all over development cds that is the everything was in on dvd (and this is play way method of learning..from additions to fractions) in the kg/1st grade along with english. The fifth/sixth grade has more on comprehension, mysteries, and also art, history and stuff... But recently I saw jumpstart maths, phonetics as individual cd's at landmark. Do check their website and also I think you can order for the same online.
