    Dear Spandhana,
I do not understand your query. If it is raitha, please try as follows:
Finely chop spinach & just boil wth minimum (1-2 tsp) water. Cool & mash Add curds, salt & temper with red chillies & muastard seeds.
If you do not get khus khus, you can use cashews but the thickening will be there & not the flavour typical of khus khus.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Apple Thokku??

    Dear Chitra Mami,

As I was browsing through your recipes, I came across Apple Chuntney recipe. It reminded me of this Apple Thokku I had at a friend's place. Her mom, visiting from India, had made it using really sour apples. We call them Granny Smith Apples here. She said she made is just like Maanga thokku, grating and using pretty much the same spices. But when I tried it it did not come out quite as good as hers. Would you be kind enough to try it and provide a recipe? I am sure you will create a much better version of it.

    Thank you Mami.
    Love
    Sakshi.

    Dear Chitra,:wave

Can you please give me the recipe for Rava Idli and Rava Dosa? I make regular idlis and dosas and they come out well.
Rava dosa, i have tried but not upto satisfaction. Can you please give me the proportion of the flours to be used for Rava Dosa?
If you have already posted the recipe for the above, let me know under which thread I should check them out.

    Thanks,
    Jithiks

    Re: Apple Thokku??

    Dear Sakshi,
We do not get here the sour variety you are talking about. So there is no way I can try it.
Please refer to my mango thokku recipe given in the pickles thread. Trey it exactly the same way - adding little jaggery is optional. I am sure you will get it right.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Jithiks,
I have given both these recipes in the tiffin thread. Instead of searching in the thread, please go to
    Recipe Index
The tiffins are in the first page. Incidentally you can through all the 3 pages of the same to know what all recipes are given in my sub-forum.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Pras,
I have nver made it myself ! Probably, you could have fried less to get it soft?
May be, too long in the oil, made it tough.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Chitra Mam,

I was browsing your recipe of making idiappam. In that you have mentioned about the idiappam moulds, which can fit in the pressure cooker are available now. Can you please tell me in which store it is available. If possible can you post a picture of it. My inlaws are visitng us end of April. I would ask them to get it for me. It would be easy for my MIL if i tell the store and the details.

    Thanks
    nalini
