    Dear Cheeniya,

Wow, looks like the " Poetry"bug has seriously bitten you!
For a second i thought you were writing about living in the Now, ( influence of my reading Eckhart....!)
Loved these lines....so much OF FEELING!

"It is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.
The First and the Last, that which Was, and Is and Is To Come.
Can Time freeze? It can as it did yesterday. "

Looks like you are really letting your heart rule over your head! Anyway we are the ones benefiting! So keep listening to your heart!Bow

    Dear Sri,
Your poem is really "poetic" ! I feel compelled to write like you, but end up being "pros(e)aic" only !

    I can see you now.
You are the father I sought in childhood, my consort,
My sweetheart, my playmate and all in one soulmate.
Who can describe this union, so wonderful,
No name will fit, may be, call it
Eternal love with no particular name
Engulfs, envelops; I know not myself apart
    From you; intimacy beyond expression
How much more intimate can this get?
    Shiva and Shakti;
    Source and Expression;
    Are but one !

In your company in IL, I have also started rambling prose, imagining it is poetry !
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Maya
That's a very profound way of looking at Photography. Yes, it does help us to capture a miniscule moment in Time for relishing it in later years. I agree that the picture helps us not only to relive that moment but also helps us to feel all those emotions rushing back to us.
I remember the famous Beatles song 'Yesterday'

    "Yesterday,
All my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay,
    Oh, I believe in yesterday.

    Suddenly,
I'm not half the man I used to be,
There's a shadow hanging over me,
    Oh, yesterday came suddenly...."

I always fantasise with my Time Machine. If only we could get a chance to relive our past, we can rectify our follies of the past! A photograph enables us only to have a glimpse of the past moment but we are woefully powerless to alter that picture!

    Dear Sri,

    What a great one!!!!!!!!!...

The Wheel has mercifully stopped moving, making my cup of Joy full to the brim.
The Sun and the Moon will continue to go about their task
So will the Seasons, the Summer and Spring, Autumn and Winter.
But their passage will have no effect on My Time
Now that you are with me.

    Enjoyed these lines.... Great.....

    Dear Devika
Thank you for your extremely kind words of appreciation.
There are certain happy, ecstatic moments in our life which we may want to be frozen. But as Time and Tide wait for no man, there is no way we can have such moments frozen. The only alternative available to us is to increase the number of such moments in our life so that the life itself becomes a string of endless moments of ecstasy. This is what Rajneesh advocated. This is what Sufis believe in.

    Dear Chithra
Shiva and Sakthi are an epitome of inter-dependence. That the individual constituents of a union is powerless without the other sounds exceedingly nice as a concept, but in today's context such a union is totally abhorred! There is greater emphasis on a relationship being symbiotic than interdependent.
Many of Shiva's 'Tiruvilayadals' are a direct consequence of the eternal question of who is bigger-Shiva or Shakthi, Matter or Energy. This has also given rise to the mistaken impression that all matter is masculine and shakthi feminine and without the Shakthi, matter is a useless piece of inert material!
But you have really handled this well as a subject matter of your wonderful poem.
    Keep it up!
    Sri

    Dear Cheeniya sir,
No, I shall not regret! Shakespeare has always been an inspiration for me other than Wordsworth who have given love poems par excellence. We can get drunk in their poems without opium or wine. May be you will give a different picture of Shakespeare in your usual inimitable style! So I am still waiting!
    Regards,
    Malathi
