    Hi,

Yesterday I was watching an English Movie… Rather I can say trying to watch… the CD was damaged and not working properly. I liked that movie. So rented the CD to watch for the second time. After a few trials, I understood the CD was damaged … so from my DVD player, changed to Laptop and tried for another 30-45 mnts… All in vain… RantRant

So, I have spent more than 3 hrs in trying to watch a movie, and had not even seen 30 mnts picture. Then, frustrated,I stopped everything… Later I called my close friend, then during our chat I said I got frustrated today..he asked me why..l… I narrated him the whole story and said… what is this yaar… even if I want to watch a nice movie I couldn’t….

For two minutes he didn’t speak anything… He was very cool and the he said “ CD after constant use, gets damaged… Also, if it gets scratches you cannot watch the movie properly… It is a natural process… Why are you taking it as a personal issue… this has got nothing to do with your efficiency… Why you have to fight with it… Why do you feel it as a failure of luck and all… Relax”…

I didn’t have an answer for him… He was right… For very small things, that happens in the natural process… we take them personally and feel that we are a failure or we are unlucky… It is because of the mental Ego status… Our Ego comes to the forefront… We want things to happen the way we want it… If it is not happening, then our Ego gets hurt and we get frustrated… We keep fighting everything and forgetting the logics at timesbonk…

I learnt a great lesson from my friend…:bowdown

    For your Expert opinions please….:coffee.

    Dear Veda sir,
A thought provoking post from you.Certain things/happenings in everyday life does teach us something. Its so natural for us to get frustrated with silly things, where in more the EGO steps in than the original problem itself.

    Veda,

These things happen frequently.I can understand yr frustration, when u are in the mood, i mean for watching a movie and nothing else,it can make u angry.A normal reaction really.

So dont worry i too have my ego,we are in the same boat.REgards.kamal

    Veda,
nicely depicted a day-to-day event into a lesson we should learn.
It is true that our ego comes in at unnecessary times and make us ashamed of ourselves.
Sometimes we blame the whole incident as a bad omen too...

You had also learnt a lesson and also made us think about it in our own way.
    Keep it up!

    Dear Aruna,

Hahahahaha... I could have gone out and changed the CD... But it was too late 10 p.m. So I couldnt do anything.... I agree with you that the we forget to think rationally....

My GF.... My BP will shoot up... She is a electronic buzz... If something is not working... she cant leave it till it works properly... She will keep changing this/that and all.... In the mean time I will lose all my patience and in the end... So, as a rule, when she is near the computer I will not go and when I am watching TV, she will not touch it.... hahahahaha......
