Yes Krishnaamma, i know that saying. My husband likes my mother's cooking a lot, as she prepares whatever he asks her when we go to my parent's home. But i cant do the same as i am working and have very little time during weekdays.
Now that i have read your kitchen tips, i will try and use it to prepare whatever dish he asks during weekdays too. :thumbsup

waaw! that is very nice :) try and plan a little and you can do it dear:) afterall we all are earning to have a good food in the correct time na? :) so give priority for cooking and plan accordingly . prepare all the ready made powder and cook quickly and easily.

My husband will come from office and make 'vaththal kuzhambu' and eat with in 1/2 hour lunch time when he was in Saudi . so make 'puli paste' to make cooking easy and quickly.

In one month do all these powders and pastes in a week end and cook eassily for a full month. try this and give me a feed back :) all this best :thumbsup

hi, krishnaama , your instant powders are very useful . i want more from you I always keep a kurma powder in my fridge. that is dry coconut powder 2 cup, pottukadali 1 cup, sombu 2 teaspoon , 2 teaspoon kas kas, if we want cashew 10 pieces fry all items slightly (dry) and keep this in fridge. It is very useful to all kurmas.

    Raw Garlic Powder

Have you tried to make Garlic Powder in your home? is is too easy and very good to use. I prepared them yesterday and it is too good to use. Here I am going to share the preparations with you :)

Take garlic as per your need.
Peel them and cut them into pieces.
Just put them in a plate and dry them for about 2 - 3 days.
They will become crispy and when you take them they will make sound like 'kar kar' that means they dried nicely.
so put them in a mixer grinder and powder it.
That is all, store the Garlic Powder in a air tight container.
    Use whenever you need.

Tips: If you dry them in Sun light they will become yellow. If you dry inside the house, you will get white powder like mine :)

One more thing, if you want to keep this garlic powder with pepper and salt on the dinning table, please add some rice flour and salt with this and keep it there. Rice flour will prevent wetness from the salt and regulates the flow of garlic powder.

Try and give me a feed back :) here are the photos .

Just grind the above given items and keep in the fridge.
