Baggage lost during travel to India from US

Dear sanravi,

Last time when we went to india my husband's suitcase went missing.That was the only luggage he was carrying and all his stuff were in that including few documents.He lodged a complaint at delhi airport and they told it will be delivered.Believe me that man came to our house and gave the suitcase on the date they had promised.It was untouched and nothing was missing.

I agree we r shocked when this happens.But we got our luggage back.Hope ur mom will also be as lucky.

i have experienced this twice, same thing happened to my mom also(when she went to india from here after my delivery), the baggage had most of electronics which the airline(lufthansa) said will not reimburse,( they don't cover electronics it seems) but we got the baggage but none of the electronic stuff were inside, the airline paid 2,000Rs for more 100$ worth of items.

the same thing happened when we went to india last year, one of our luggage was lost, where we had most of my son's stuff and some toys and a remote airplane, we filled a complaint, we got our baggage in a couple of days, but to our surprise nothing was missing.

there is no way a baagage can be lost in an airtravel, it would have held back during transfers, so it can definetly be found.

Don;t worry, my sister has experienced this some 2years back.they have paid her what she spent that two days(travel charge)&luggage once they got it back.

One of my hubby's collegue also had same experience some 6months back, they paid the expense he spent +luggage. To his luck he said 100$ value,they heard it as 1000$and paid him that sum.
