reasons for sleeplessness

    hallo friends...i would like to know from you all....what are the reasons of a woman's sleeplessnes? since last 2-3months...i dont get enough/sound sleep... when i go to bed, i dont fall sleep as i used to get always before. Now when i get to bed, i chant god's name and lay on bed but when i close my eyes, my brain still remains active for long time and all the thoughts of the day's activities keeps on wondering in my head...even if i try to divert them away from brain...

    last night i found myself waking up 7-10times in bed....and then tried hard to sleep everytime
    So it becomes difficult to chant god;s name everytime to get a sleep or just to try to divert whatever is coming to mind

    i donot watch any shows on tv that would influence me positively or negatively...as suggested my one of IL friends when i was going through a bad stage of my life 4-5months back...no doubt that helped me , and that story of my life is over now completely... but still the sleeping problem not completely over. Now the day-to-day's normal activities keeps on coming to my brain when i close my eyes....and my brain keeps on working
    so till my brain stops thinking anything, its diificult for sleep to come...isn't it?

    Friends can you tell me do you experience such anytime?
    what could be the reason behind this and how can it be cured?

    Hi,
    If you are drinking coffee/tea after 6 pm kindly avoid it.
    Have your dinner atleast 2-3 hours before you retire to bed.
    Listen to some nice music or read a few pages from a good book.
    If possible use lavendar agarbathi or essence.
    Pray to God, surrender all your problems and then you will get good undisturbed sleep.

    Hi ,I would say same pinch....:) I have been suffering from this issue for the last 6-7 months and I found out that the problem lies within me. Here is what i changed and now its better if not competely well.
    1.No TV/PC for 1 hr before sleep.
    2.If i feel sleepy by 10 pm. I go and sleep.Tried to finish all chores before that time.Told DH to open door by himself if hes late than 10 pm.
    3.Listened to music(Thalattu songs).
    4.No power nap in the afternoon.I fought this out.
    5.Walking in the evening for atleast 30 mins.

    try these.It may help you.

    Me too get disturb sleep and most of the time i kill my self in my dreams ....

    it mostly happens if you are stressed or depressed

    try to divert your mind in good thought and you will get sleep automatically

    some methods
    read interesting book till you get sleep
    remember good memories of your childhood also helps

    Avoid sleeping during day time. Immerse your foot in the warm water with rock salt and gently massage the foot with coconut oil. This will be helpful for a deep, sound sleep.

    Hi Dimplede,
    You can try this. Before going to sleep in a dry hand towel, take some cumin seeds(Jeera) and smeel it deeply.
    You will go to sleep immediately.
