    There is another show called "Everybody loves Raymond".The show literally has the story of my life with some minor changes.
    Have you seen it? Its all about mil and dil.Poor dil has to put up with mil living across their street!
    Even some americans have mil problems! Surprise surprise!
    The show is really funny! One of my favourites.

    Actually, time to time, I threaten my son with "Everybody loves Raymond". I want to live like Marie, so that I can come and clean his house, prepare food, taking care of kids etc. :rotfl :rotfl
    My son is kept saying, he will be living 5-states away from me (to avoid driving distance). :biglaugh

    I am such a lazy person, need help in taking care of my own house!! Any way, I spent enough time with him until his HS years and I am enjoying my youth, now. :mrgreen:
    In the future, it will be his life and his problems :biglaugh

    Marie is my mil,only difference is she is an american and my mil is Indian,I can identify with each and every episode,my mil behaves exactly the same way!
    In the first year of my marriage I used to watch this show and cry.Imagine that,I couldnt see anything funny abt the way marie treats debra.Then slowly I got back my sense of humor.Today I laugh loudly while watching the show.I feel so embarassed that I actually cried watching this show.

    Freddy hope you saw one of those episodes where ray scolds Debra for making him stay across the street from his parents.

    I remember this and it was actually Debra who insisted on them living across their parents! Raymond tried to warn her but she snubbed him.

    I was homesick a lot and I used to wonder why Americans want to stay away from their parents. :)

    There is another episode where Raymond tells Marie,"Thanks for pushing me out of your womb,if you hadnt done that I would probably still be in there."
    Of course he say it sarcastically but that is just top class.My absolute favourite scene!
    Dont remember which episode.
