    Hey guys

I just wanted to share my story of how I lost my pregnancy weight - the healthy way ... I know it seems too impossible to even sound true. But trust me when I say that I didn’t diet, I didn’t exercise away in a gym nor did I spend hours for exercising at home.

So here goes my secrect - I did all the household work. Yes....there you go ... I revealed the secret. A month after I delivered, I took over the entire household tasks including cooking, washing vessels, washing clothes (just putting them in the wsahing machine), drying them, bathing my baby, taking care of him, sweeping and moping the floor.

Ofcouse I didn’t do all this at one go. I planned my chores for the day in such a way that by the time I want to relax, I took a few veggies that I wanted to prepare for the next day, sat beside my baby and cut them by talking to him.

My appetitie became so huge. I ate anything and everything but I kept losing weight steadily .... I infact grew more slimmer than how I was before :bananabut as I said, I never compromised on eating.

So my mantra for losing the pounds steadily is to do all the household work.
Now the next tough part was maintaing the new slim me once I joined my office back. And I did figure out a way for that too :idea.... Simple, I took my cab a kilometer away from my home and got down a kilometer away from home. Once back too, I took rest for one hour and did the work at home. I was able to maintain it that way.

Another tip which helps a long way is eating porridge and fruits instead of junk and fatty foods. Well I didn’t give up on junk foods. Instead just had them once a week. I kind of kept a timetable - 1st Friday is time for a sub from subway, 2nd Friday chat items, 3rd Friday restaurant food, 4th Friday is always pizza.
Some people might argue that maybe its in my genes. Well no, my mom, my grandmoms, my aunts .... everybody are on the heavier side and grew more heavier after delivering.

Wishing all my friends here luck with their weight loss regime....:thumbsup

    hey revathy

no problem at all giving out my secrect. infact a lot of my colleagues are expecting and i tell them about this...its just that they are a little lazy to follow this routine. Infact if we continue to do household work even while you are pregnant, it leads to natural birthing process only.

I did all the work both while i was pregnant and after my son was born also. Just want to pass on my tips to others :)

what a useful thread from you. anyone can follow this routine without compromising much on eating routines. especially for a person like me, it is very useful. i cannot control on my intake. as you said, i also plan the eating routines which will keep a check on gaining weight.

    hey Rajsai

Glad it was helpful to you. You got me when you said you cant control your intake. I tried to diet a lot but it just never works out for me.........i end up eating twice the amount the next time i take food coz i am a biiiiiiiiiiig foodie. So i am just finding alternatives here.

Awesome! Thankyou for sharing your story. I try to keep the upstairs of the house dust free by cleaning & moping regularly(the down part is done by an old servant- she's too tired to do the upstairs portion too) but it leaves me panting and short of breath even though I do with mop and not the traditional method of sitting on the floor on the knees to clean...Phew!
