Dear Viji,

I am sure everyone who has you as a friend is a very lucky person. From your posts I can make out that you are a very sensitive person who always cares about other people's emotions and feelings - this is a quality that makes a person a good friend. After I moved to the US I realized that it is not the quantity but the quality of friends that matter.
Your friend may not call you ten times a day and you may not speak to them for months but when you catch up it you pick up where you left. You do not have to give each other any explanations or any excuses, your friend always knows that if you were unavailable there was a reason behind it.

Hi Vijima,

All your posts are so true,in the sense it makes us feel ya this has happened to us.I think your experience speaks.It guides youngsters like us who are there in this forum.

And yes about friendship..I realised how good friends I have when I have most needed them in my life.I always believe that timely help is more important than a help at anytime.And thats what my friends have done to me.They meant a lot to me when i needed them the most.Brought a smile when I read your post.

Dear Viji Akka,

Most importantly, the friends sometimes tell something that we may not want to hear. Their intention is not to hurt us but make us a better person. Even if we get angry at them, they continue to maintain their friendship with a hope that better sense will prevail. They also expect us to tell them how we really feel about something they confide with us. More than proximity, how fondly we feel when we think of friends makes the friendship stronger.

lucky are those who get true friends vijji todays world is full of people whom we cant say friends ... but really a true friend is the need of the hour wish you a happy friendship day and hope every one has atleast one good friend in whom they can share all their feelings good or bad....
