    Monifaaaaaaa o-my-darlingggg!

What a surprise to see you! Hows things? Hope you are still in Syd and in that same penthouse (isn't it?). You sound like my MIL - no short cuts with her; mood or no mood. My mother is full of wonderful short-cuts. But I beat her too. Athileyum short-cuts. Zindagi yoonhi jaldi jaldi cuttofying :). I have never experimented with bisibela masala powder. I think the tamarind paste and copra must have all added to the flavour. And then aapke haath se banaaya hua everything must taste good. My Syd trip is still pending. I must make it once to the penthouse.

Very sweet of you Kanaka! It is all in the presentation here too :). Totally agree with you. Original done the hard way always tastes the best. I am sure Chitramami/Chitvish will never give her stamp of OK for this!

Firstly thank you! I just don't seem to have much to share or write these days. They are all small portions of servings and I feel intimidated here with what is on platter. Now you are indeed my kinda girl but then cooking for pleasure?? OMG! It is just for survival in my case. For me, mood or no mood, always the easy way. But always happy to enjoy good food made my somebody else :).

I am a witness and that too in awe of this in kids, mine as well as that of others. I am one of those people who never looks appreciatively at realistic looking pictures! And K2S apply this to a girls' dressing sense also! oh what assortment of colors, clothes and styles - I simply love it!

How exciting to hear that! I am the other way, I don't mind cooking but I do dishes ever single day with tears in my eyes, well almost anyways! Now for the excitement part, we could simply make such a good team :)

Now K2S, I do want to appreciate you for the efforts you have made but in reality, I do not like egg plants, I do not cook them for the same reason denying my family the benefits of this supposedly awesome vegetable and now this from you brings a smile - one more reason not to cook egg plant for the only way I cook is using short cuts :hide:
Being a good friend, trust me if I say that that precisely was my prayer right from the word go of reading your snippet. That said, we do miss you here, a lot K2S! It is so refreshing to read you again!

Yes my dear, We will not move out of Sydney because hubby's surgery is here and this penthouse is owned by us. We have the best view from here. You are welcome to our place anytime. Please come over. Come, taste my cooking and then give me a certificate. I missed you so much all these days....

    Viswaji,
It is not that you are insensitive. You have been very lucky that everybody in your family are excellent cooks and you have tasted nothing outside of this :). My hubby has actually given up on me when it comes to eggplant. So this was a sure surprise for him and me. But you are right. No matter how many years one has been married, just a small nod of approval or something appreciating their spouse's cooking goes a long way. I hope everybody reads your lines. Thank you for appreciating the post.

    Hey Srama!

I am a witness and that too in awe of this in kids, mine as well as that of others. I am one of those people who never looks appreciatively at realistic looking pictures! And K2S apply this to a girls' dressing sense also! oh what assortment of colors, clothes and styles - I simply love it!

:) Me too! Lots of colour the more cheerful they look. There are no preconceived ideas to spoil the moment. There is no limit to the possibilities and mind is always open to new and fresh ideas.

How exciting to hear that! I am the other way, I don't mind cooking but I do dishes ever single day with tears in my eyes, well almost anyways! Now for the excitement part, we could simply make such a good team :)

Agree! Once again, please let me know if there are houses in your neighbourhood that are vacant. And what an advantage to have a Yoga Teacher in the neighbourhood!! Dishwashing is such a therapeutic experience. The kitchen sink is where ALL my thinking happens. The creative juices undergo pilates and yoga routines and then I have to rush to my laptop to write them down. Now you know where my haiku is born! hahaha!

I always have the welfare of my good friends at heart. You can always count on me!

Being a good friend, trust me if I say that that precisely was my prayer right from the word go of reading your snippet.

    haha...! I do.

That said, we do miss you here, a lot K2S! It is so refreshing to read you again!

Awww sweet! Thank you Srama very much. Feels very warm and hugged when I hear from good old friends. Happy to share and dunno if I should say that it is good to be back. I am always so unsure of myself. But most certainly feels like a home I used to frequent once upon. I don't feel lost completely.
