Tips needed for effective use of Washing macine

Can you please share some useful tips to wash clothes better in washing machine.
I have fully automatic machine but I feel that many times the clothes washed are not as clean as per my expectations and as they come out of hand wash.

For e.g
1. When I wash my husbands trousers with all other clothes, it get very small Small white threads stick on it which actually makes it look faded.
2. The shirt collars are not as clean as it should be.
3. The bedsheets does not look very clean.

Please give me some idea and tips like what detergent you use and how you manage to get absolutely clean clothes from machine wash.

Hi,

This the routine I follow.

-> My DH's formals dresses seperately on Teusdays
-> My formal dresses on Wednesday
-> My daily use On Thursday
-> My DH's daily use on Saturday
-> All black dresses seperately I dont combine it with any other clothes to avoid the issue you mentioned. If in case it appears youcan use the lint roller for this it is good...

-> For bedsheets I soak them for 2 hours ( for this just select wash and later it soaks for an hour and again give the full cycle of wash rinse and spin.)

Is dryer sheets available in India? Maybe that will get rid of the white threads or use a lint roller. I agree with Malars's suggestions. They are really good. If the collars are too dirty, after soak just scrub them once by hand and then run wash cycle.

Try using liquid detergents instead of powder..

Hi,
Try washing coloured n white clothes separately. It will give u good results.
For best results on whites soak them for 30 to 60 minutes n then wash n rinse.
Wash trousers n shirts separately..

For the collars and cuffs, u can soak them in Robin cuffs N collars for 2 minutes and as usual u can wash it in the washing machine

I have been using surf excel powder for top load and it gives very good results.. but only thing is it s available only as powder which sometimes does nt fully dissolves. So generally I mix the powder with water ( I use old comfort box for this, pour water along with powder and dance with it for a min ) and then pour it once all the dresses get soaked. this gives very good results.

Soak the dresses for an hour or 2 ( I generally switch off the machine and then keep an alarm , will switch it on when alarm buzzes , this will save the electricity for stand by mode of washing machine :thumbsup)

If it is very dirty , soap powders take a little time for working. If the dresses are very dirty and for whitel dresses , mix a scoop of vanish along with surf excel and follow the same process , gives good results.

There is a separate powder for clean tub of d machine.. u must use it and clean ur machine atleast 2 or 3 months once.. based upon ur usage u will clean ur machine... am using whirlpool, i bought that powder from whirlpool customer care office.. v cant get it in outside and dont clean by any other powders...
