Hi Sumathy, Schram school was not in my list of schools when i started searching for schools... We applied in so many schools and due to lack of recommendation or due to the amount of money we agreed to give as donation was low (we didn't know how much we had to write), my kid did not get selected... She got admission in another school also.. but the school is far away and is also starting to function this year only.. so we decided not to send her there... So i started looking for other schools in and around Anna Nagar area and found out about Schram Academy... Got good feed back about the school from the current parents and many other people, even from the teachers of other schools.. We visited the school and liked the atmosphere in the Anna Nagar KG campus... The school is a big banglow converted to the school.. liked the approach of the teachers there and also the small class size, they have four sections for each class with 15-20 students in a class... They have lot of activities too.. So we decided to put her there considering the fee structure also... It is OK, considering the facilities they provide... We did visit the Main school campus at Maduravoyal also.. They have a very big building with all infrastructure, we liked that campus also.. children from Anna Nagar campus will also be shifted to Maduravoyal when they reach std I.... I haven't visited any other international school...but you have a number of international schools here in Chennai like Vaels Billabong, Lalaji Omega school, and many others... Many of them are discussed in the thread Schools in Chennai.. I will be shifting to Anna Nagar area within 2 months... Area is good, have all facilities, many good schools and shopping malls..
hi manju i went to maduravoyal campus, b'coz its only 3-4 km from by place. i saw ur reply also. y want to shift to anna nagar,
Hi Lalitha, The house we stay here in Vadapalani is a very small one, we need a more comfortable one.. Any way we have to look for a new rented house, thought it will be good if it is near to the school... so trying to rent a place near Anna Nagar West, Thirumangalam or Mogappair...
thats great y dont u shift to valasaravakkam, there is a short route from valsaravakkam to maduravoyal. and in case if ur kid is coming back to this campus it would be easier for u is it.
Thanks a lot Lalitha for ur concerned reply... I didn't know Valsaravakkam is close to Maduravoyal... Would have tried for a home at Valsaravakkam, but now since we have already paid the fees, we have to stick to Anna Nagar area for 2 years... Anyway thanks for that information... I am new to this part of Chennai.. Now we know Maduravoyal is easily accessible from Valsaravakkam, we can try for a home there after 2 years... Have a plan to buy a house, don't know when is it going to happen... Prices are so high...
Hi Manju Thanks for your detailed reply. My son is already in prep here (which is 1st std in India). So i guess I will be looking at Maduravoyal campus I guess. Can you ley me know the fee structure, you had mentioned its 20k, is it for a year or for a term? Keep us posted on whether, your child is enjoying the school? Cheers Sumathy
Hi Sumathy, I have sent a PM with the details of the fee structure in Schram Academy... Hope it helps...
Hi Manju, Thanks for the information about Schram school. I had been there today for Pre-Kg admission for my daughter. Can you please give me more information on their acedamics. I found their web site interesting as far as the co-curricular activities concerned. But i have less information about their academics. Pls help me on this. We liked their Anna nagar campus. We did not go inside the Madhuravoil campus. Just had a view from outside. I am yet to pay the fee. It would be of help if you can give me some info.
Hi Manju I saw in the previous messages that you have put your daughter in Schram. We moved recently to chennai and put up in Valasaravakkam. I put my daughter in a school which she is not very comfortable. So i wud like to know abt Schram ( first hand information) so that we can try it out there, thanks Indu
