    Hi everyone,

I need to clean up my temp folder as it has too many files and slows down my PC's speed. Can some one here who is a techie or who is familiar with disk cleaning help me out.

I have Windows XP and I understand that there is a Disk Clean up facility. But I would like to clean manually. There are a lot of TMP files, Bitmap image files, XML and Bin files.

    Thanks!

    Hi Nivedi,
If you use disk clean up, it might delete many files from "MY documents" folder and you may end up loosing important documents.
It is always good to do manual cleanup.
Delete all the files from "Temporary internet files"
Go to control panel ---> add or remove programs and remove unwanted softwares.
All these things will help you with free space.

Let me know if you need any information.

Thanks Puni. I cleaned up the folder and got a lot of rubbish out. My concern was whether I would by mistake delete a file that was important.
