Good mouthwash

    Friends,

    Can anyone suggest a good mouthwash in the US. I have heard from a friend of ine stating that mouthwash with too much alcohol may cause harm to teeth. While I searched the internet, I came across Scope and Listerine.

    Listerine seems to have a better rating but contains alcohol, Ethanol if I am not mistaken.

    ANy personal experiences please.

    I have used Listerine extensively and also Scope many times. I have not had any negative after effects from it.
    There are always new studies time and again about almost all products we use and one never really knows what to believe and what not to.:idontgetit:

    I've been using Listerine too for quite sometime now...never had any side effects.
    You've really got me thinking about the contents now, though. Haven't as much as given it a second look!!

    Hello,
    My family uses Listrine. We don't have any problems with that.
    Dilute it and use.

    hi there

    well i have been using listerine from ass long as i remember, and never had any problems with that. u said it has alchohal, but i dont know if it can harm you as long as you dont swallow it.

    Go for an antibacterial mouthwash instead of an alcohol-based as alcohol may cause dry mouth & irritation. Use it just before bedtime.

    Thanks dear.....but can you name such mouthwash?
    i am having black spots in the premolar and molar teeth on both sides of lower jaw....am not sure about upper jaw. Dentist say i have developed cavities....so asked me to use/apply Gumex. Also my innerside of the cheeks near the wisdom teeth has got black circles on both sides. Dentist said that its because my wisdom teeth are out of my jawline and inclined towards the cheeks. That why it blackened.
    But am not happy with the dentist.
    I donot know any good dentist out here.
    Please help me what to do....
    Also .....will using listerine etc will help?
