Welcome Back Chithu!!! Hope you had a blast in Madurai.

Tried a lot of your recipes while you were gone. Muffin kesari takes the crown true to its name, so easy and could not make out the difference between stove top cooking and baking. Also made a lot of parathas from your collection, the veg tava paratha was so tasty and what a nice way to sneak in veggies. Little V loves your broccoli stir fry with sesame seeds, and he wants it daily with pappu mumum.

Between, got myself a new weighing scale, and baked a few of your cakes with the little ones helping me. Jam tarts, banana cake, orange cake etc. It has almost become a weekend routine for us to bake, and the littles one ask me, "what recipe are we going to try next from Chennai grandmom's collection?" :))

Took some pictures too, will post them soon.
    Love
    Vidya

    Dear Mami,

I have been repeating so many of the recipes.

Today made Ammini Kozakkattai after a long time. I can never get tired of it. I simply love everything about it..the simple, yumm taste, the very look of the cute balls [IMG] ..and of course the process of making it .
Its so filling, may skip dinner :).

I am looking to do some of the Cookies which I haven't done before. Baked Cashew Biscuits two days back and it came out very good.
With the summer at the peak here, I will be plunging into the Morkuzhambus section.

    Thanks for everything mami.

    Dear Chithra
I made Bisibela bath without vegs using brown rice.I no longer eat white rice. Brown rice gives a good texture, its an acquired taste. The recipe came out so well. We really enjoyed it with zucchini raitha. Also made aama vadai . followed your tips. the result was super crispy vadais. It was a great combo with BBB.
    Thank you so much.

    Love

    Dear S,
How long does it take to cook brown rice at all??? I agree the taste is very good.
Now I have started using millets like varagu, samai etc in place of rice & lapsi, frequently.
    Thanks for the happy FB!!
