Hahaha. Ragini, I am accused of snoring, but as there is no evidence or proof presented to me, I choose to disbelieve it. :rotfl

Try to sleep before him. That's what I do. when Ever I don't sleep before him and he starts roaring (He snores really loud sometimes) I poke him and if that doesn't work I sleep in a different room.

Snoring is not funny but is a serious issue and is also a symptom of diabetes/BP. Its highly recommended that the person who snores visit a doctor. Not only will that help identify health problems but also help curb snoring.

While there could be medical reasons for snoring, there could be a very simple reason for it:

So try to get him to turn on his side. If it still continues, consult a doctor.

    Hi,
Some people snore because they have a bit of a weight issue also. As one of the members posted it could be related to other health issues as well. Usually an extra pillow to lift the head has come in handy in my situation. I don't snore but the other half does. The nose strip worked for a little while in our case but it did help. I had spent many night "trying to get used to it" but I like my sleep more so i would sleep in another room but I could still hear the snoring...It was LOUD!
Hope you get some relief from the posts and more importantly get some sleep.

    Cheers!
    Oopall.

I hear you OP! I cannot sleep because my DH snores like anything...so I now make him sleep on the other side of the bed (facing each other) so that he is not snoring into my ears and I have a small table fan running at full speed to drown out his snores...seems to be working for now :)

    :rotflRoaring....very funny. :rotfl:rotfl

The last time I laughed so much about snoring was while reading Tubelight's snippet when she compared the sound of her DH snoring to a "cement mixer with a bronchial condition"

Though the temptation to tape an episode and mail it to "America's funniest videos" is very high, husbands might not approve of it. Sigh....Easy money $10k loss.

Trick is to make him sleep in a semi sitting position... bed with a good head board and plenty of pillows to keep him propped up, reduce tummy if any, non snoring spouse to go to sleep earlier or seperate bedrooms.

Better to visit a doctor / sleep clinic and get checked for sleep apnea and deviated septum also.

My husband snores really, really loud such that he himself wakes up at times due to the noise and vibrations in his nose....lol...
    Things i do are,
    1. Sleep before him
    2. poke him a bit so that he doesnt get up but shifts his position and stops snoring (he will stop it for 5 mins or so, but i ll use that time to sleep :) )

actually, i got used to his snore now a days.
