When it comes to weight loss, avoid the temptation to "clean your plate". By skipping on the leftovers, you'll save on a lot of calories.
Some people will clear their plate no matter how much food is presented in front of them. This is bad habit when it comes to weight loss.

To prevent bad odor in your shoes, sprinkle some baking soda into the shoes and leave it overnight to soak up the odors.
Baking soda is a deodorizer and keeps the stink out of your shoes.

Don't like the taste of brown rice? Mix some portions of white rice in it. Gradually your taste buds will get accustomed to the taste of brown rice.
Brown rice are the whole grain counterpart of white rice which provide more fiber and more nutrients. Switching over to the taste of whole foods like brown rice is difficult for people already accustomed to foods with amount of fat, sugar, salt and chemical additives. By changing the taste gradually, you can be more successful in incorporating the healthier alternatives in your diet and then think about a complete switchover.

Regular exercising and a little walk after dinner can aid you build a stronger stamina and a healthy body.

Food high on fat and oil has to be stringently avoided. Fat and oil increases the cholesterol level in the body.

It is well-advised to consume fresh fruits and vegetables. These fulfill the body’s need of nutrients and roughage.

When trying to form a good habit, start by writing the reasons why you want to start this good habit. This will give you more clarity.
Writing your thoughts down will help you put everything in perspective and improve your chances of sticking to your plan.

Combine your weight loss programme with a few toning exercises. These will help you keep fit even if you stray from your diet occasionally.

To prevent heartburn (burning feeling in chest/throat) at night, try sleeping on your left side. Sleeping on your right side can aggravate heartburn.
The best way to avoid nighttime heartburn is to sleep on your left side, so says a study conducted by the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. Sleeping on your right side may increase your heartburn symptoms. The reason is not entirely clear. According to one hypothesis, sleeping on your right side relaxes the muscle that keeps gastric acids in your stomach. Another hypothesis says that sleeping on your left side keeps the junction between stomach and esophagus (food pipe) above the level of gastric acid. Sleeping on your back can also allow acid to slip back into your esophagus more often. Sleeping with your head elevated can prevent the backflow of gastric fluids.
